Has anyone had an issue with I-Pedal mode not engaging? Thought maybe a fluke so pulled over turned off car and restarted but still no dice. It was 110 degrees ambient per the car but 105 F per weather app. Google found no correlation between temp & I-pedal other than extreme cold maybe. My charge level is about 40% so that is not an issue.
Picked up my 2025 I6 Nov2024. Currently has less than 18k miles ( golden for CA Lemon law). Law says 30 cumulative days loss use due to warranty repairs. My car is in for steering wheel R side button failure that is nationwide back ordered until August.
My dealer ( Tim Moran - Hemet) won't give me a loaner (corporate does not require dealers to). They won't put it back together and then take it apart again when the part comes in so I can use it. Probably because warranty does not pay for 2 disassemblies & put togethers.
I have been worrying about the ICCU range anxiety anyway, ie breaking down on a long trip. The car has been out for several days in the past to replace both horns ( another part Hyundai has increased the warranty on due to massive qc /design issues). I don't have another car, as my backup is leaving his weekend with my son ( his car) to Northern Ca. permanently.
Calling corporate tomorrow to let them run interference or prepare to buy back.
It breaks my heart but lesson learned, ask the dealer if they will give you a loaner if the car kept beyond 3 days for warranty repair before you let them touch it and you may want to get it in writing.
