This thing is a beast! Today, we have an insanely rare Timex Marathon 1000 from around 1993. Reference number 73981S, this watch closely resembles the Casio STR-1000 Speed Trainer.

Primarily used for running, it featured a remote lap / split cable to track times during your training / race. Accurate up to 1/1000 of a second. Jam packed with all kinds of cool features for the ultra runners. See the catalog reference for details.

Essentially new old stock. The lettering is perfect and the band is original. This watch will come with a similar Timex style band for everyday use.

1993 Timex Speedtrak - Casio TRW-21

(🏎️) 1993 Timex Speedtrak

•••

Another rare 90’s digital found in the wild! Tonight, we have a very hard to find Timex Speedtrak from around 1993. It’s possibly the nicest example I have had the pleasure of owning.

Reference number 72771S, this watch closely resembles the Casio TRW-21. As mentioned in previous posts, Timex licensed old Casio models in the mid-90’s to gauge interest and compete with other brands. This watch features a Tachymeter. It is used to calculate speed M.P.H. and lap times during racing.

Basically new old stock. The lettering is perfect and the band is original. It’s pretty rare for me to keep a digital these days, but I think this one is staying in the collection.

(🗺️) 1986 Casio World Time - W-60U (Module 893)

•••

Casio was ahead of its time in the 80’s and 90’s. I’m amazed at how many versatile watches they produced during this timeframe.

Today, we have a Casio World Time from 1986. It’s jam packed full of cool features. Most notably its world time functionality. This watch has the capability to measure against 29 different timezones, and has 5 multi-function world time alarms.

All original. The band and crystal have some wear, but it’s functioning perfectly. Ready for a new home!

My first true Rolex! Reference 3372. When I did a serial number search online is suggests that it was produced in 1946 or 1959. I believe it to be the later due to the higher serial number. 35 mm (with the crown). It has been redialed and is unfortunately missing the seconds hand (would love to find one but no idea where to look - there are a few aftermarket options but not sure that is the best route). The previous owner regulated it and it’s working perfectly! The band is a replacement as well. I’ve got a silver band in the way.

(🎣) 1993 Timex Marlin

Still one of my favorite styles to clean up. This watch arrived dirty and in need of some major TLC. There is a ton of satisfaction bringing these back to life. Both the analog and digital movements are working great. After a quick battery swap and tons of cleaning, this one is ready for a new home!
