Given the opportunity, would you take up a master's program?
People of reddit, just a curious question: Would you ever consider taking up a master's program? Why or why not?

I (24f) have a boyfriend (25m). He recently lost his full time job due to layoffs and has been working part time for about 2 months now. He's been complaining almost everyday about his lack of a full time job and stability. I understand to an extent but you can imagine being the one constantly listening to the complaining.
Edit: his previous job was a 3 month contract based full time. So he was also actively looking for jobs while working.
For context, he is in the Creative industry.
He's been applying for jobs for months, and sometimes he does get replies asking him to do an art test. However he complains, giving many reasons as to why he doesn't want to do the art tests:
he isn't proficient in the software they want him to use
the deadline is too short
he wants to rest over the weekend
Recently, he's been offered another art test and the deadline is next Monday. He has his part time job on Saturday, and we initially had plans on Sunday. However now he's thinking about not even doing the art test because he doesn't want to work on it over the weekend. I suggested asking for a deadline extension since he would be working on Saturday and thus feel like it would be pretty reasonable to ask for one. He kept complaining about how the company was crazy for making him do the art test over the weekend and he didn't even want to do it anymore.
For more context, I recently started a new job, and I also work in the Creative industry. I hopped from my previous job directly to my current one with no break in between. I spent months applying, and of course doing many art tests. Some companies wanted results in 2 working days, and I had a 9-6pm job at the time! In order to improve my situation, I made smal sacrifices, sleeping later to finish up my art tests for example. It paid off as I finally found something better.
That's when I had had it. I told him to suck it up and to stop complaining every single time he has a possible job opportunity. Now he's mad at me that I "didn't relate to him" and that i "didn't listen to his complaints" when that's what I've literally been doing for the longest time. AITAH?
