3.3kw charger install- RWA & Bescom Query

I am seeking help from you folks - if you have gone through the scenarios with RWA

So I live in a small/medium society about 120Flats. Recently I got an EV car. I am planning to use the 3.3kw charger that comes with the vehicle - and for that I need to pull cable from my meter to my dedicated parking space . ( both main meter and car parking is in ground floor - about 80m distance ) .
So started discussing with RWA about installing a plug point in my space, the problem is in my Bescom bill it says sanctioned load is 3Kw , so I applied for additional 3kw load enhancement via online portal and got ack that it’s approved . But it hasn’t reflected in my bill - bill still shows sanctioned is 3kw.

On top of this RWA is asking me following questions :

  1. Is Transformer capacity sufficient to allow all members to have Car Charging in their parking?

  2. Or, should RWA ehance its transformer capacity, when should this be done? Now or after installation of 5 or 10 more Charging points

  3. Incase of enhancement in transformer capacity, who will bear the cost?

  4. Should charging be allowed overnight or should it be allowed only bettwen 6am to 10pm

  5. Should every charging unit have an fire extinguisher?

  6. If everyone is going to have their charging point & if everyone is going to have their own pipeline to connect their parking, will it not create a mess of too many pipeline?

Is it okay to keep the vehicle & AC on while charging

While doing fast charging on highway is it okay to stay inside the car with AC and infotainment system on ?
I have seen few posts where people drive lot of distance + long hours In a single trip - recent one from twitter
https://x.com/idoctorABL/status/2056940317769912823?s=20

The image shows - the trip took 28hrs . So naturally he should have taken a few stops and should have charged.

All of a sudden the car stopped generating the startup sound and the “welcome to your BE6” message , has anyone faced this ?

I tried turning on / off interior sound, but that doesn’t seem to resolve this

Sharing my experience with Mahindra and Anant Cars, Bangalore. For the context I am a first time Mahindra buyer and also first time EV user.

  • Booked: Mar 24 | Registered: Mar 31 (without even seeing the car — trusted the brand)
  • Planned delivery: Apr 16 ( Had to travel out of town hence got delayed)

After registration I was able to track the vehicle via Me4U App.

While tracking via app, I kept seeing repeated alerts: (Apr 6th)

“Charger connected / Charging stopped” — At this point I wasn't sure whether it was normal / abnormal.

https://preview.redd.it/1xt4ajc5qyxg1.jpg?width=591&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1ef5b6f71a9b020cdc55ca085a45c1edae9d274e

Again on April 10th and 14th I got these messages repeatedly.- I Messaged this to the Mahindra Team and he said it's normal - nothing to worry.

Apr 15 (one day before delivery):

Got a call — delivery delayed due to “software update.”

On pushing & probing further, they admitted: car has a charging issue.

Brand new EV, already registered in my name, unable to charge before delivery.

I refused delivery and asked for:

  • Written explanation
  • Either replacement OR extended warranty (if you trust that vehicle and if you want me to start trusting it then give me an extended warranty)

Their response:

  • No replacement (already registered)
  • ₹5K discount on extended warranty

That’s it.

I asked a simple question:

If you paid ₹23L and got a repaired car before delivery, would you accept it?

Would “trust us, it’s fixed” be enough?

No answer. Silence.

Eventually took delivery on Apr 22 — not out of confidence, but exhaustion.

Still have zero trust in the vehicle. This is my primary family car.

Big questions:

  • How was a non-functional car registered?
  • Why was the issue disclosed last minute?
  • What kind of pre-delivery checks are done?
  • what kind of checks and tests done after fixing the charging issue.

Honestly, this experience was mentally draining.

If you’re considering Mahindra or this dealership — think a million times. They honestly do not care about the customer. They are yet to answer me whether - if they are in my position would they accept the vehicle just based on dealer ship saying "Trust Us the problems are now fixed" - Clearly they have zero customer mindset.

Hello - recently took the delivery of BE6 pack 2 - I feel the audio is not so great when played via CarPlay. Have seen few other posts regarding the same - subwoofer getting cut off . I want install some apps natively in the media system that comes with the car

However in the Built in App Store - I do not see any music apps like YouTube music and Spotify or even Gaana. Starting to wonder if that’s only possible in Pack3 ?
