Durango Hellcat

Hello everyone,

I am looking for feedback on the Durango Hellcat. I’m considering pulling the trigger on a 2026 but would like to ask for opinions on the exhaust.

I test drove one today for only a short while, and I felt underwhelmed by the exhaust note. Does everyone switch to a catback?

My Mustang Dark Horse had such a great note to it, even stock. I guess that may have been tied to it being a smaller car. I would like to wait for the Rumble Bee SRT next year, but I do like SUVs better than trucks.

Thanks for your thoughts. If you feel like sharing any other pros or cons, I am happy to hear them! I typically trade my vehicles in well within warranty, but I wouldn’t mind hearing about maintenance mishaps.

2027 Stingray vs 2026 Dark Horse

Hey all, I’m in a 2026 Mustang Dark Horse with the 6-speed. I had considered a 2026 C8, but now this new 6.7 really has me second guessing. Does anyone have experience between the two, or could you offer me insight to your C8 experience based on the notes below.

  1. I will daily whichever car I have. I don’t see the point in not.
  2. I enjoy my manual, and I am concerned about getting bored in the C8 automatic. Does paddle shifting replace that feeling?
  3. I prefer drifting and spirited cornering over straight line speed. Is the C8 fun to drive in these settings? My brother had a Grand Sport C6 or C7 (I don’t know), and he said it was boring because of how refined it was.
  4. Does the hardtop come off? If yes, does it fit in the trunk?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Anyone dealt with this? 2026 Dark Horse. I’ve had it less than two weeks but noticed these orange blocks in the suspension tonight. I’ll be going to the dealer tomorrow.

Thoughts on asking for an alignment? I’ve put 700 miles on the car.
