YouTube is showing my content to Wrong Audiences

I managed to build the channel up to almost little over 2.5k subs and have been posting regularly again for about 3 months with around 170 shorts up on my page and 9 long form videos. It used to go well with smaller audience pools, but YouTube can’t seem to figure out what niche I’m in which is insane to me after so many uploads. What could I be doing wrong? Please give me any ideas because I’m reaching for straws at this point.

Am I Under or Overdoing it for YouTube Shorts?

I’ve been doing ads for 6 years and I’m pretty successful with it. On the other hand, 3 years ago I started doing YouTube but it never stuck the landing and I’m seeing harsh drop off rates in the limited analytics I have so I’m wondering could the style of editing I’m going for be the reason? I’m stuck in between this being underwhelming and overwhelming so I ask for a little bit of feedback on this from you fine people 😅
