How do you get a refund for a order you didn't receive ?
I placed an order that never arrived. I reported that the order didn't arrive . I had to fill out the claim form. I was charged for the order when I placed it. 2 days later, I get an email saying I'm glad you received your order. A complete lie. I never emailed them saying I received anything . We will be adding the charges back to your account. Now instacart has double charged me for an order I didn't receive. I called the support department. They finally refunded the 1st charge to the original payment method and gave me a credit with a time limit to spend it. I reached out to instacart, asking why their credit added to my account was it the second charge for my order instead of returning it to my bank account.
So I called my bank instacart hasn't started the refund process. I'm clearly understand that instacart now doesn't want to refund the money back to my account. Instead, give me a credit for the amount with a time limit. How are you going to force the store credit on me and tell me when I have to spend it. It's my money that you illegally remove from my bank account anyway. The emails instacart are sending are vague. I reached out to customer service again. They were 🎬 like I received my refund.I told them I received the 1st payment, but the second charge for the missing order was returned in store credit. I don't want store credit. Especially with an expiration date. Put the money back in my bank account. While I was talking to instacart customer support, they went into the account and removed the credit. I have had issues with instacart before, so I know to screenshot anything that I do on the app because they have the ability to change digital receipts.
This experience has been eye-opening . I only use the service because my job gives us funds to use on the platform. The only reason why my C.C. is attached because instacart requires it. The markups are ridiculous. I placed my order at a store that showed no markups. I guess they didn't need markups if they weren't going to deliver the order anyway. Completely angry with the services. Since my job gives us funds on the platform, I can't dispute the charges because Instacart will suspend the account for 90 days. The overcharge doesn't add up to the amount of funds I would receive from my job in 90 days. All I can say is screenshot everything when dealing with instacart they will act like they didn't do anything wrong, and it's the customers fault.
