5 CSE attempts, 4 CSE Mains ( including 2026 ) + 1 Forest Mains of 2025, 2 Interview - Looking to mentor a small group of aspirants who have found it hard to clear prelims or mains.

Since I am in IIM B now and I have a PPO, so I have ample free time to dedicate it to some aspirants who find it hard to clear the various stages of the exam.

What I can help with in Prelims?

\- Decoding the PYQs trend

\- Strengthening the basics

\- Elimination technique and how it works

\- Strategy for CSAT

\- Focus on 80:20 rule

\- Provide my own notes for prelims.

How can I contribute in Mains Prep?

\- Structuring of the answers

\- Value addition

\- PYQs trend and mapping with topics

\- Help with PSIR ( I got 247,262,265)

\- Update with CA

\- Feedback

\- Final condensed notes for revision during exam break

\- Ethics concepts explained simply.

I am looking to keep this group very small and narrow down to few aspirants to ensure attention to each aspirants.

So if you feel you fit into it and are ready for it. Do DM me with your details of name, number of attempts in cse journey, biggest roadblock and root cause of setbacks.

I will analyse and then provide a roadmap for removing the roadblocks with hope to get success in this exam.

Thank you

Never had a backup plan while preparing for upsc. But after 3 failures, I had to look for some alternatives and CAT seemed a perfect one that very moment

Post 2020 I went to Delhi (ORN), Prepared for UPSC with Self Study and Test series of Vision, but ultimately due to lack of guidance and know how on how to crack the exam, I failed my first attempt. This led to chaos and I started thinking where did I go wrong. Because I was getting 64 marks from various coaching answer keys.

In 2nd attempt I listened to Topper videos on how to pass prelims and re studied static part and made my own notes . I also took help of some veterans in ORN and mentoring from Insights ias faculty during 2021-22. This helped me crack some patterns which are well known in this industry to pass prelims.

I cleared prelims but had no idea of mains. So post clearing prelims I studied hard but lacked my own notes and guidance and structure to write mains. I tried my best but missed mains by 80 marks. I attempt all questions in 2nd attempt. But I feel those lacked quality

In my 3rd attempt I passed mains and gave interview but couldn't get selected, so I was pretty low and then I looked searching for backup when I felt CAT was a decent option. So I gave CAT in 2024 and got into IIM B. Now I have a decent backup of job but I am not satisfied.

Hence I wrote mains during my 1st term too but couldn't convert into the list. I gave this year mains too. Let's see how it pans out. So anyone looking to give CAT as back-up can comment. My knowledge would be of some help.

If anyone wants to get guidance on prelims or mains can DM me.

Thank you

Don't get stuck in a vicious loop for prelims, reading everything under the sun and not getting the desired result, failing again and again

Hi people, I am speaking this with my experience and expertise that prelims is the toughest phase of upsc CSE. Clearing it once doesn't guarantee clearing it again. So you need to limit your sources and revise again and again.

Focus on PYQs and the ability to solve questions is amust which should be developed over a period of time. Knowledge alone can't help you clear prelims.

I passed 4 prelims and failed 1 during my first attempt. I have seen people who are either paying prelims everytime or failing it every other time. They have same knowledge levels but still fail due to their unawareness of how prelims work and it's pattern.

Reading too many CA magazines and videos during last moments due to FoMo is also hurting the chances of people.

So my advice is Limited book source + PYQs mapping, understanding the themes, preparing that+ Newspaper daily+ Any coaching test series but entirely ( I did vision). Have self belief.

If anyone needs help do comment, I will be happy to help. For someone who has spent more than 3 attempts and not cleared prelims , I can help you to clear with a focussed strategy. Do let me know. I will inform about my sources in next post.

Thank you
