Any Idea?

Hi people, lately I've been thinking about starting a new city. I'm in a creative streak lately. Do you have any idea on how should I develop one?

A fortress? An Abbey? A City? On the sea or a rural settlement? Give me suggestions. I'll post progresses in the next days

Problem with visitor position

Quick problem. I build a town hall in a new city I'm making, but then I decided to remove it all and make it all over again.

Problem: I eliminated every part manually to get back scrap materials and I forgot to eliminate the visitor position (the white arrow you know) And now I can eliminate it anymore, and visitors stop in the middle of nowhere. I even sat a new visitor direction in front of my new town hall. Nothing.

You know how to do? (No I won't use "forbidden land" it doesn't work and anyway I want to build my cathedral there)

That damned city center

Hi guys how are you all? I have a question about one thing that always annoy me, and probably others as well here:

Are there any mod to mask the city center, or at least a way to cover it without blocking all the entrance directions? Cause honestly I would even to leave it in the middle of the town, but those wooden boxes and hand-cart doesn't add up with the town's view.

Fortress "Thoros of Cilicia" is ready (and some more too)

The fortress of Porto Valente is finished. Since I used the model of the armenian fortress from AoE II, I decided to dedicate my city fortress to a great armenian hero, the medieval Prince Thoros (Theodor) of Cilicia. In the mean time, I created a new village to gather mor resources, named "Campicelli". It formed around a monastic mission, another typical element from medieval age.
In the next days I'll be busy with an exam, but I will post more. I'll show some specific buildings I made to mask a shit ton of treasuries (never running short in this game) and I'll finish to decorate the whole village, and adding lights for the night time view. I hope you like the update

The city of Porto Valente

I'm a young historian from Sicily and this game amazes me, especially caus it's set in the Middle Age, my field. So here's my (best made) model of a medieval italic Comune, the closest to reality. The city is called Porto Valente, and its coat of arms is made on the model of the sicilian city of Messina. The appearence instead resembles what the merchant district of Pisa looked like; a central town far from the coastline, a port district far from the center, close to another small town and a farming, landscape, minerary area in the inner territory.
The story of my town is related to a group of pioneers who came and settled far from the coastline, to return later and take back the control of the sea. A "Foundation" moment, crystalised in a hand made monument (last pic) "The boat of the first Pioneers". As an historian, you don't know how much I would like a in-game tool to write even few lines of "Town's History" to be shared. As you can see also, there's still a work in progress, the fortress covering the main passage through the forests, which will be done soon. If you are asking yes, the castle is modeled on the armenian style fortress from Age of Empire II, while the Basilica of the monastery is modeled on Saint Sophia, but is dedicated to Saint Brendano (protector of sailors, it sounds quite appropriate for this city). I changed that boring roof blue with a shiny yellowish orange (mediterranean guy, what can I say?)
I hope you like it, I'll update when the castle is ready
