Book idea maybe about Sublime
So, I'm thinking about possibly trying my shot at writing a book. I've fallen in love with Sublime as I love the stories the music portrays. It's as if I can picture all of it. It made me want to write a book potentially. I want to give you guys my ideas. I'm not a super fan and this idea is just off of me listening to only Sublime for a couple weeks. Here are the loose thoughts of mine I wrote down. Be honest with me. I can take it. The start can be strongly based on
Wrong Way.
She was made a prostitute by her father. She was made this way. She's never seen the right way. She meets a guy and he starts trying to help her after using her for service. It starts to work but throw in
Pawn Shop.
She starts to get desperate for money and she heads to the pawn shop. Remember, it's skin and bones. She slips and the guy realizes that he can't save her and leaves. Now you have 40 oz to freedom where she's alone and sad and her only real interaction is through prostitution and that's not even real. She heads to the liquor store and starts drinking to escape all of the issues.
The Ballad of Johnny Butt.
She's an alcoholic, she has issues, she's a prostitute. She wants to be free. She starts pushing and pushing. She's got to overcome. She's got to overcome. Interruption though, this is a long battle. She finally feels like she can recover.
Date Rape.
Essentially the same story as date rape. She's at the bar. A familiar place for her. She's drinking juice. She's there to not drink. She just wants to fight the temptation. However, a guy comes in and he looks nice. He sits next to her and makes fun of her for the drink she has. He flirts and talks until he convinced her to drink. One drink turns to two then three and then four. He manipulates the situation and gets her far from there. Has his way with her and it scars her. She's just had intimate relations with a guy that used her and she's drank. She's failing. But she has to overcome.
The ballad of Johnny Butt and Date Rape start to overlap here. She's got to overcome, got to overcome. She decides to file a police report and take his ass to court. Even though she's at the lowest point in her life. She's got her newfound will to survive. She kept moving ahead and it worked.
If you have any ideas either please let me know! Thank you
