Matcha Tips - learning how to be better at making it
Hi , i recently started attempting to make my own matcha and i notice i just like..do not taste the flavor at all lol, sometimes it just feels like im drinking milk.
Like i said, i am new so i have recgonized stuff i do wrong and try to fix it but still am curious if theres any other issues:
First, the brand i have is one i got from a local supermarket , nothing expensive or "ceremonial grade" as some people promote at all. I dont know if that affects it.
I also have purchased a bamboo whisk , and i have tried to adjust the way i whisk and water to matcha ratio i use -- however i still feel like im still not getting that creamy texture i see others get.
i know the water cannot be too hot or else it causes the matcha to have a bitter taste - however my issue is not that its bitter, its that i barely taste it lol
i use the correct measurements listed on the box , 1 tablespoon of matcha per 8 oz of milk. The milk i use is a creamy oat milk so i dont know if the milk being extra creamy lessens the flavor of the powder? i know too much powder isnt good either though.
