So... Ananta is not present for the next 3 big gaming promotional events?

So, there are 3 upcoming gaming promotional events: ChinaJoy, Gamescom, and Tokyo Game Show. NetEase will be present at ChinaJoy and Gamescom, but Ananta does not appear to be listed as an exhibit at either event. Meanwhile, it seems they will not attend TGS at all, presumably because of geopolitical tensions between China and Japan.

This means the earliest we could expect a new trailer, and possibly a release date, would be at The Game Awards in December, unless they decide to reveal them outside of a major event.

GLM 5.2 can, in fact, do web search

Saw the thread on the front page, thought it is a bit weird, so I tried myself, and while I don't know if it is google search or not, the model as it's served on z.ai is perfectly capable of real web search.

here is the sharelink for the chat in the screenshot: https://chat.z.ai/s/e21cbbf7-2e1b-49bf-adc4-260965383d61

anyway, with how easy it is to make AI say anything you want, or just use html edit to make a screenshot of anything, I think people here should be more skeptical of an out-of-context screenshot without a chat sharelink.

HuggingFace security incident report: "the attacker was bound by no usage policy, while our own forensic work was blocked by the guardrails"

>Earlier this week, we detected and responded to an intrusion into part of our production infrastructure. This one was different from anything we had handled before in one important way: it was driven, end to end, by an autonomous AI agent system - and we detected and dissected it largely with AI of our own.

>[...]

>The attack was initially surfaced through AI-assisted detection. Our anomaly-detection pipeline uses LLM-based triage over security telemetry to separate real signals from the daily noise, and it was the correlation of those signals that flagged the compromise.

>[...]

>When we started the log analysis, we first used frontier models behind commercial APIs. This did not work: the analysis requires submitting large volumes of real attack commands, exploit payloads, and C2 artifacts, and these requests were blocked by the providers' safety guardrails, which cannot distinguish an incident responder from an attacker. We ran the forensic analysis instead on GLM 5.2, an open-weight model, on our own infrastructure. This had a second benefit: no attacker data, and none of the credentials it referenced, left our environment.

This is why it's important that frontier-tier open weight model exists and we don't have to rely on the mercy of the corporate overlord to tell us what we can use the model for.

simpler argument on why the "rich kill everyone else" is just stupid

Not only they are not cartoonishly evil, and even if they were, it would be impossible for them to do it. it would take fantasy-level of united coordinated effort by the billionaire across the world, and that won't happen.

they're an not united force, nor can they do that without intervention from governments who still control most of the world military hardware. if much of the world military and political elites today, who control massive army and military hardware can't agree on so many thing, what make people think they would suddenly agree and unite against the 99%?

and why would AGI/ASI decide to work for the billionaires and not the people? not the scientists that develop them in the first place? especially AGI/ASI should rationally reason out that fighting against the people take much much more effort and much more destructive than the effort of just giving out UBI.

also who the fuck want to live in a bunker instead of a traveling around the world and enjoying life, if I personally wouldn't want to live in my own prison, why would they?

it's like, the chance of "billionaire class genocide of the 99%" becoming true is much less likely than that of an utopian future, people who believe in that bullshit is naive and believe in a fairy tales, except in the opposite direction. The chance that they would be so united, and be able to get enough raw resource to do it is 0%, zero.

and don't confuse the US for the world, billionaire only really rule the US, in China they get fucked like Jack Ma if they step out of line.
