Total laryngectomy — need help finding affordable LaryClips/supplies and a doctor who can manage my stoma

Hey everyone. I’m hoping some other laryngectomees or caregivers here might have dealt with this.

I’ve had a total laryngectomy and breathe through a permanent stoma. I use a LaryTube and normally use Atos Medical LaryClips to secure it.

The problem is the LaryClips are extremely expensive — around $300 for a box of 60 pairs — and I also need a prescription for my supplies. Right now I don’t have an ENT who will see me, so I’m stuck not only trying to afford the supplies but also trying to find someone who can prescribe them and help me properly maintain my stoma long-term.

I’m trying to figure out:

  • Has anyone found a safe, less expensive alternative to LaryClips for securing a LaryTube?
  • Are there reusable options, neckbands, adhesives, or another system that worked better for you?
  • Is there somewhere besides Atos where you get your laryngectomy supplies for less?
  • Are there programs that help people who can’t afford these supplies?
  • Does an ENT have to prescribe these supplies, or has anyone had a PCP, speech-language pathologist, respiratory clinic, head-and-neck clinic, or another provider handle their prescriptions?
  • How did you find someone to manage your stoma and laryngectomy care when you no longer had an ENT?

I’m not looking to do anything unsafe or improvise something that could cause a problem with my airway. I’m mainly hoping to hear what other laryngectomees actually use and how you get your supplies without spending hundreds of dollars every time you order.

I’m in Lubbock, Texas, if anyone happens to know of resources in this area.

Any advice, experience, or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Am I doing it wrong?

This quest won't let me drop off this bruletta. I've tried a level 1-4 bruletta, with and without ammo. I click it, but ain't nothing happening.

My browser uncle got me the coolest binder ever

I absolutely love this collection. There's a lot of legends. I even have a few cards that are stickers. Idk what the red cards are, but they include Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, the Bushwackers, Brutus "the barber" Beefcake, and Randy Savage?

Which Is better?

Is it safe to order cards online? I've seen a bunch of post where their box of cards are beat up, and I don't want that obviously. Or should I continue going to my local shops and card shows to acquire them?

I came here to loot and do quests. Everyone else came here to commit war crimes.

I understand pvp is part of the game, and it's fun as hell when you have a squad. However, on Solo, which I play the most cause I have few friends that play, why do people shoot on sight? I'm strictly a pve person. I only pvp when provoked. but when I'm trying to quest or just raid, here comes some dumbass. And I can usually kill him, but then here comes the 3rd party. But GG to the rat bastard who killed me and those 4 other raiders, but why you revive me, let me heal up just to kill me lol. The games badass, though. Idk why I was in an aggressive lobby, I hadn't killed in ages. To the point I didn't even shoot back. But not this time. That was a mistake. Because my gd potato aim, that guy got all the goop.

I enter the raid seeking mushrooms and quest items. But, i always encounter a population of feral murder hobos. I'll survive several incidents til I don't. Due to raisers and arcI, I was briefly shown kindness before being executed. Lost all goop. 10/10, I'm queuing again, you rat bastard!

1st few

I'm just starting out. I'm already proud of what I've got. Idk what to keep an eye out for, so I'm just going after those who I watched on tv growing up.
