She made some good points about Wellie's death getting altered to get the OG rating, but I am pretty sure the bruises we see on Haymitch / Maysilee in the trailers are from the ladybugs.

h*yffie and h*ysilee are censored portmantua for the ships Hayffie (Haymitch/Effie) and Haysilee (Haymitch/Maysilee)

Of course she was great, but some of these other actresses also being in the running is quite intriguing

The similarities that I can discern are that both are merchants with varying (understatement) amount of of mommy issues, both hate the capitol for obvious reasons. Both played up their people skills to get attention from the capitol crowd, and both of them have sibling(s).

The last point should make it clear that I couldn't think of anymore similarities lol.

They also have a lot of differences imo, Maysilee is far more active and brazen in her hatred of the capitol, Peeta whispered a few statements out of earshot of the bugs, then painted a mural after surviving the games while Maysilee insulted the capitol in her first interview and literally >!killed a game maker in a fate sealing blow!<

There's been some discussion on this on other sites so just wanted your opinion...

Lenore Dove of course has the love interest role that Peeta has, but Maysilee has the arena ally, blonde merchant thing. They both have overt rebellious sentiments like Peeta in catching fire.

Of course it doesn't have to be a one on one parallel, Suzanne's a better writer than that, but they all could share a motif.
