Thanks everyone 🦥

Thanks for all the support and advices! This is only a part of my first ever harvest, some others to come. It's very rewarding. Let's see for the next flushes! 🦥

Pls don't stop helping me :D

I'm growing b+ with a kit for the first time, I've 3 of them (2 pic each). Are those veils that are going to brake? Should I harvest or can I wait until tomorrow morning?

Also, I've notice hairy feet (?) on some shrooms, does that mean too much humidity?

Also, I was thinking to experiment and do as follow:

First kit: harvest the big ones and let a bit of time to the other to grow, then soak the cake and hope for second flush.

Second kit: harvest the big ones, and let the other grow while starting injecting water to start the second flush without soaking.

Last one: is more consistent, we are hoping to harvest everithink and soak exactly as instiction said.

Is that ok?

Also, on the last kit I've notice a greenish/bluish dot in the middle, I can't tell if is mold or bruising, how to recognize?

Also (😂) one of the shrooms get sad and went to sleep, is all between cake and box and box and bag, is that a problem?

Sorry, I know is a lot of questioning, I would appreciate a lot any kind of help from you!

(english is not my language, hopefully I'm not sounding rude, love ya 🦥)

Cheap accessories are ok?

I have my new mtb and now I want to personalize/improve it a bit. I was looking for lock on grips, and a bash Guard, and I found some really cheap one, now I'm wondering if some of you have experience with those kind of products.

We are talking about €4.30 grips from a brand called rider ace and 13 euros bash Guard.

I mean, a grip is just silicone and two aluminum ring, I don't get why I should pay 40 euros for that, silicon is just silicon and the patterns of the grip are usually identical... But still less that 5 euros man, is really low. Let me know 🦥

Upgrading a mtb

I'm not that experience and I was wondering how can I tell if a bike is gonna be a good platform for upgrade. I think that a part from the value of the bike the main differences is gonna be a series of numbers and standard that let me know if I'll be able to fit new and modern fork, brakes etc. in the years to come.

What should I look and know?

I'm looking a 2023 Laufey H30 and maybe fork and brake are two component that in some years may need upgrade, does it make sense?

Hello everybody, I've found a stoic 4 2025 that I think I'll get around 950 euros. It have been barely used and on paper it look a great option for an hardtail trail bike. Do you have something to say about it? Is the price ok? Is it a good bike that can give me satisfaction on downhill?

Also, I don't see it on the canyon website anymore, have this model been discontinued? Is it a problem?

I'm away from the mtb world since a lot, so I need advices 🦥

Hello to everyone.

I'm looking for a new mtb, I was oriented towards a modern hardtail trail mtb, real climbing capability and good downhill performance for my standards, simple, intuitive, light.

The problem is that till now I haven't manage to find good deals for a trail... INSTEAD, I've found a crazy deal for a gt force carbon pro from 2023. Definitely an enduro, but more or less same weight of some of the option I was looking for. But I've never owned a bike like that.

The questi is, how much worst/different/tough it is in the uphill/climbing?

The angle is really open, 63,5 instead of the more or less 65/67 I was advice. But the seat angle is way more vertical, 78 instead of the more common 73,5.

All opinion, experience, review and advice are welcome! 🦥

For context: Im kinda experienced. I was used to rides with decent elevation gain, up to 1,500 meters or a bit more, mostly to enjoy technical descents. To give you an idea, hitting the Invergneux Pass near Cogne was a yearly tradition for me. It’s a long climb with some hike-a-bike, followed by a descent on hiking trails where I stay in the saddle the whole time, crashes excluded...

Hope everything was clear, have a good ride! 🦥

Hello humans, I'm new in this sub, writing from Italy.

I'm posting here what I've posted on r/MTB.

I was thinking about buying a new mtb, all-mountain/trail bike, after a lot of years.

I was wondering if someone more updated than me can give me some advice about brands or specs to look at. My budget is €700-1000. I was looking for a hard tail cause a full in that budget look impossible to me. The only other way probably is get a full with a really good and modern geometry to update in the next years, I'm I wrong? The problem is that I'm not updated enough to judge a modern geometry. Can someone help me?
