Almost swept by Morty in Crystal

Morty's Gengar is an absolue BEAST in GSC. This thing took out half my team. I only beat it by PP stalling it completely by switching between sleeping Arbok (baiting Dream Eater) and Togepi (not asleep, baiting Hypnosis, also immune to Shadow Ball). I still had to sacrifice Togepi in the end because it was trapped in by Mean Look, but eventually beat it after it could only struggle. I had to come up with this strategy on the fly, because this thing was landing an ungodly number of Hypnosises. This thing is terrifying, never underestimate it if you are doing a Johto run.

Am I the only one who's lost more than 1 mon to gen 2 Falkner?

I'm doing a nuzlocke a Silver, and Falkner was a shockingly difficult fight, considering how clowned on he is. I think this is because his Pidgeotto knows Mud-Slap in gen 2, meaning that Geodude can't wall it (or accurately land hits). I had to sacrifice 2 mons (Sentret and Kakuna) to make it out. Has anybody else had this experience?

What's a Pokémon/Evolution Line that you've gained respect for from a nuzlocke? I'll start.

I've gained a lot of respect for the Fearow line after my Fire Red run. I took it to the elite 4, and it was genuinely a carry for my team in some fights (RIP Peckpeck, you died a hero). I'm using it in a run of Silver now, and I've really grown to like the Pokémon because of the role it played on my teams.

Also shoutout to Maggie the Magneton, it was going to die but survived Charizard's Fire Spin on like 3 HP to get the KO. I would have won anyway, but it was a really cool anime-like moment.

I made it home, and it was all because of a women working without pay.

This story happened back when the TSA had their funding cut by Trump. For context, I (18M) have a disability that requires a lot of medical supplies to always be at my disposal. I am also wheelchair bound outside of the house.

I was traveling with my dad and my nurse. On our way back, we were hit with the worst line we had ever seen. Normally, I get access to a priority line due to my disability, but the airport was so understaffed that there was nobody to open the line. At this rate, we were going to miss our flight. That would be especially bad considering that we didn't pack any extra medical supplies.

My dad was going around frantically, trying to find someone to help us out. Not even the woman operating the wheelchair priority services was able to help us. Finally, My dad talks to a woman working for TSA. She hears him out and without hesitation lets us through to the front of the line. Keep in mind, this woman wasn't even getting paid to do her normal job. But she still found it in herself to help us anyway. That kind act has stuck with me ever since.

Hot Take: Humanoid Starter Pokémon Are Good

I am SO sick of everyone in the Pokémon community whining about how GameFreak is making too many humanoid starters. To be clear, I don't dislike the more bestial starters, I just think that people hate on the humanoid ones way too much. A lot of them have really good designs, like Greninja, Infernape, and (don't even start on the whole furry thing, IDGAF) Meowscarada. I just wish people could just get over their obsessive anti-humanoid starter stance and appreciate the designs for what they are.

That's my little rant, feel free to flame me in the comments.

I had a dream where they added a new minigame to Tomodachi Life called "Fountain Freeze". You would have to press A to freeze the wishing fountain at the right time to create an ice sculpture. It was actually quite difficult.

What Happened to Dawn/Lucas's Pokémon when they time traveled?

I've had this thought for a while now and I just discovered this sub, so I thought it would be a good place to bring it up. If the protagonist of D/P/P is the same as the one who got sent back in time in PLA, where did their Pokémon from the modern day go? I would imagine that if Arceus wanted Dawn/Lucas to save the timeline, it would want to send their Pokémon that they've trained for combat already with them. I know I might be overthinking this and it's probably just because having a full-fledged team from the start would kind of defeat the purpose of the game, but I was wondering if anybody has any ideas about how to account for this lore-wise?
