I have been listening to Mac for probably 12-15 years (I am 20). He has blown up in the last few years for his newer stuff, primarily this old dog I’d say really got him mainstream, 2 and salad days ended up following suite with popularity after.

However, I literally NEVER see Rock and Roll Nightclub talked about or played ANYWHERE. It’s such an insanely good and unique album. His deep vocals and the cool radio song transitions was just such a cool idea for an album. All the songs are just so fuckin great.

Anyways let me know your thoughts on the album if you have listened to it, and if you like Mac and haven’t listened to it I really really recommend.

Saw him outside the Eaton centre today (second time I’ve seen him), he walked up to the middle of the sidewalk, put his bag down, and placed his coyote pelt on it. He walked a few feet back and just squatted there for the entirety of the red light and didn’t seem to move after.

Anyone know his story?

I feel like this is a highly debated topic. For the record, I haven’t seen the movie.

I loooove Emily Haines voice, really unique and she brings a certain something to every song that she sings. I love black sheep, but again, I don’t love the song when Bri Larson sings it, IMO, her voice is kinda basic.

I’m wondering too if maybe the people who prefer that version were also introduced to metric from that scene, or it’s a nostalgia thing, I’m just more of a fan of the Emily version.

A part of me kinda dies inside whenever I go on metrics Spotify page and sees that their top song is one that Emily doesn’t even sing in, and I feel like she is the soul of metric.
