Hello everyone, I recently purchased a 2002 V70 XC (XC70) with 151,XXX miles off of marketplace. I got a very good deal because the owner noticed an oil leak and decided to just get a new car. After some inspection I found the oil coming from behind the passenger tire near the timing belt. I assumed It was the front main seal. So today I replaced the timing belt, tensioner, idler, etc. along with the front crank seal. However after I put everything back and filled it with oil, the leak was still there. Since I cleaned all of the oil off, I am now able to see the source for the most part. See attached image. My first thought was valve cover gasket but now that i look closer, the area where the valve cover meets the head seems completely dry. The leak is coming from behind this black plastic shield behind the cam gears and I have no clue what would be back there that would cause this other than maybe head gasket. What do you all think? Hey everyone, I am very new to this sub and am looking for some insights/advice. My dad began building a pressure/softwash trailer and never finished it. It seems like I have everything I need, I just need help plumbing everything.
