I am part of groups that use the Signal app to message immediately with the exact address, descriptions, what is happening, photos if possible. Then, if one or more of us is available, we go to the location to witness and record with the hope that our presence prevents people from more violence against them. We use the apps so that word can get out quickly. We only add those we know personally to avoid infiltration.

I also volunteer to stand outside of the worship services of immigant populations to watch for ICE and alert them to go into non-public areas of the buildings so that they can worship in peace. Churches are looking for help.

Contacting Luminous and other organizations for other ways to help is useful too.

Simply posting ICE sightings is only going to make us feel worse unless we can act in the moment.

Is this even possible? I am so tired of cooking, but it looks like $25 per meal elsewhere and not very healthy. Does anyone have better options for places that deliver in the Columbia area? (I can get free delivery with Grubhub - but just the food costs - wow!)

Anyone know if any fireworks displays can be seen from Fairway Hills Golf Course? (Probably not). Perhaps unofficial? It's gonna be so frickin hot and crowded for Grandma here, but I want the grandkids to be able to dash out for at least a quick view. PS: No idea why Reddit named me Glum!

Heeey! Teenaged grandkids are coming to visit and Main Event might be a rain-day plan depending on cost. Without buying food there, how much money would they blow through in an hour (although ideally we'd stay longer). Yikes, Grandma's on a budget so other ideas too please!
