In the official webtoon version he calls james one of his dogs meaning he regards Gun in the same terms as him if you chose to believe him

Outside this you never hear Charles ever disrespect or talk lowly about James. Infact he always showers him praises.The entire 4mc model was created with James as the centre piece the heart of the project if you may.

But then people may say that all this is nothing compared to the glazing and respect Charles had for Gun.

Like Incheon war started 10 years prior to the current date and during the early days of 1st gen. That'd imply that Pre gen had ended over 20 years ago.

So how is Yugang a Pre gen ?? If anything he should be the earliest of 1st gen Kings🤔🤔

1st gen was introduced as the Generation of War where there was no such thing as Romance and circles fought only for the sake of power whereas Gen 0 was the Generation which united under Gapryong under the pretext of romance and chivalry

But as of now the 2 simply have swapped their narratives.

Instead of Gen 1 being the most ruthless Gen, it's now Gen 0 with very little romance. Each member of Gen 0 is either a criminal or js a bad guy whom united cause Gapryong wanted to save the world. Tom wanted to get laid, Elite wanted to rise higher.Thats not romance. You can barley name one handful of characters who had a romantic POV in Gen 0

Whereas current Gen 1 is peak romance. Even if all the Kings fought over power and land, they each had a deep-rooted respect for each other. This is evident in Cheongliang when The Kings come to save Seongji and get angry seeing his poor condition, in Busan Gang and their unwavering loyalty to Jinrang and vice versa, Kwak Jichang being glazed multitudes of times even after his death, Taesoo promising to look into his murder, The Kings joining the Alliance for the sake of their disciples, Incheon Kings and the list goes on....

Romance in Gen 0 feels forced where its implication in Gen 1 comes off more natural

Dont get me wrong Im enjoying the Gapryong Kim arc but a small part of me is left unsatisfied how we js skipped the conclusion of such an important arc

We dont know the status of James and Kitae's alliance; Daniel and Eugene's condition, ; did Changsu get paid and went to the sauna(yes very important); the new link b/w James and Gap;James' plans with Tom and Miss Kim and lastly the "Big Shot" and his involvement in Gap's murder

All these plot point are left loose and dont seem to get a proper direction till the current arc is over

This moment is what made Elite acknowledge Gapryong and also cementify his twisted respect for his former leader

What he failed to achieve being a lap dog over yrs , Gapryong did in mere moments only through guts

Gapryong wanted to become a hero so he could get laid, rage-baited dragged Jinyoung to join his shenanigans,promised Tom he'd set him up with Miss Kim if he helped them and scammed Charles by blaming him for destroying the statue

Tom not having his dominant arm gave him the biggest advantage against someone like James. Moreover Tom's SOMP counter against James only worked cause he could freely stake his left arm w/o recieving any real dmg cause of his prosthetic.

Think about it , Tom alr was having trouble catching James so he HAD to resort to cutting off his mobility. If Tom had used his left arm intact for SOMP , he's left arm would've been destroyed and he wont be able to follow through with his feint

No matter how superhuman or ridiculous the people in Lookism are, getting ur arm destroyed in a fight puts a severe toll on ur body and mind. We see this in case of Jinyoung, Jinrang and Daniel etc who all needed a few moments to recover

Tom's "nerf" gave him biggest chance to land a critical hit on James

Like almost all Top Tiers in the verse have almost identical builds. Heavy hitters, focused more on Strength and Endurance rather than skill and BIQ . They also have similar body builds ; be it Gapryong, Shingen, Gitae or Gun. Bulky physiques with defined muscles

But when it comes to Goo and James this trend breaks and we get a breath of fresh air. Neither is the Strength Type but they prefer Speed , Skills and BIQ

James requires no explaination. He's cannonically the fastest in verse , has reached the peak of his fighting style, perfected his techniques, top 5 BIQ ,and even fully realised his Path

Goo appears fargile and cowardly but is more of a monster than Gun in terms of lethality. His creativity and usage of tools is off the charts. His raw talent let him achieve 50S in js 1 hr which all prev Hwarang Successors couldn't achieve over generations

Both also have the lean build with less defined muscles yet balanced for the FS+ their fights and battle sequences are waaayy better than other Top tiers
