Rust, covers, water and time. Saved?
My father's blackstone has been covered in NE ohio since he got sick about 6 years ago. He has a Blackstone grill maybe 48 inches with a grill side and a griddle side. A weber gas grill that I might be able to save. And a smoker that I can't tell the model of yet.
I'm aware that the Weber and the smoker are dirty from at least six years ago.
But the Blackstone seems affected but not damaged after all this time.
The griddle that drops in is orange and even had a bit of colorful grease slick on the water that had pooled. Beneath, the burners looked new as I drew the water off the griddle. I don't know much about Blackstone grills, but the part of me that knows cast iron cookware thinks it can be saved. The question is always effort vs. cost.
Old grit from the same 16th birthday party is caked to the grates on the left side but it seems that the burners are still freshish and shockingly clean.
What do I need to do to get this grill going?
