What if it never happens?

We’ve been TTC for 22 months, no known issues. First transfer failed, a/w second transfer. Ive been actively maintaining all my friendships, showing up, listening and providing support through their pregnancies, early days after birth, with toddlers etc. I do days out with peoples kids - i actively want to be in their lives because i don’t want to let TTC and being infertile take over me so I continue to show up. My friends (mostly) have also been great, they also show up for me, but they don’t get it…

Despite being positive most of the time now (& it’s taken me a while to get here)… every now and then, something just hits me like a tonne of bricks… last week i found out another friend is pregnant. And this week a friend of a friend. Since we started TTC every single one of our friends has tried for a baby and got pregnant/ had their baby.

I’m genuinely at a loss, what if it never happens for us?

How do you cope in the waiting around IVF rounds?

I’m losing it

I’m 6dp5dt first fresh transfer today and I’ve woken up to my hear rate dropping.

For context I have been tracking BBT / HR when trying naturally and I notice every month that my HR increased as I ovulated and then decreased the day of my period.

My heart rate was sitting at 63 for a few days, dropped to 61 yesterday and today to 59. Today would be the usual day I start my period 11dpo!

I am on progesterone pesseries but from what my doctor said, i will also be producing progesterone from the corpus luteum. I’m scared the drop in HR is due to my corpus luteum failing to receive a HCG signal hence, I’m not pregnant.

I know I’m really early in our ivf journey but we only had two untested embryos and so I’m so worried this won’t work.

Has anyone had a drop in HR and success?

Egg collection results

I’m absolutely gutted.
I had 10 good follicles but over 15 that were over 12mm and I just found out they got only 3 eggs.
For my AMH and AFC we were expecting 8-12

I’m beyond gutted - has this happened to anyone else?

Just started my meds

I have just started gonal F 150 and I know everyone is different but wondered what cycle day egg collection was? I’m expecting anywhere between 12 and 16, is this about right?

My meds are arriving tomorrow ready for starting in 2 weeks (ish) & I would love your advice on what to expect.

TTC 18 months. We have male factor infertility (18% motility, although high sperm count & normal morphology etc). I have an AMH of 12.6pmol/l (approx 1.75nmol/l), antral follicle count of 18 (15 on R ovary, at least 3 on L ovary but it was behind my uterus), regular cycles, ovulating, triamular appearance of lining on scans etc. but have been known to have low progesterone on at least 1 month & thin(ish) lining of ~7mm at ovulation.

My (33 F) current daily supplements: 200mg ubiquinol, 400mcg folic acid, 3000IU vitamin D spray, POM juice & beetroot juice (usually take days 1 - ovulation).

Husband (33 M) current daily supplements: Proceive men tablets x2, 200mg ubiquinol, 3000IU vitamin D, POM juice and 300mg L-carnitine.

I am yet to have my nurse meeting for meds so not sure fully on my doses etc but I am having the following delivered:

- Gonal-f 900iu PEN x2

- Fyremadel 0.25mg syringe x8

- Buserelin 5.5mg/5.5ml solution for injection x1

We eat relatively healthily, have both cut down on caffeine to 1 coffee a day (which I will remove from day 1 of my period), and exercise 2 - 4 times a week. I am slightly overweight (BMI ~30), but have been losing weight slowly in approach to egg collection. My husband drinks 1 - 4 beers a week, and I drink 1 - 2 glasses of wine per week, again I will cut this out entirely from day 1 of my period.

I am generally feeling relatively positive that we are finally moving forwards, but I understand its not all sunshine and rainbows & we may find out more issues as we go! I am most nervous about the number of eggs collected, if they will be able to access my left ovary, and then obviously... can we fertilise. Its all if buts and maybes from here!

Is there anything else we should try supplements wise?
What should we expect? Any advice?
