RANT !

I don’t know where to vent it out.I do have friends but don’t wanna disturb their preparation. My parents are pretty normally people (first gen medico)they don’t much understand what Im going through .Seriously I can’t.I don’t know how people are doing this thing soo effortlessly.Never felt this much low.Yeah will have at least one/ two episodes before university exam but I was sure that I will pass ! I don’t need to perform better than other.I just have to pass!! why this exam measures who’s better than who ? That too after a point it totally depend on luck. NEET PG 25 152-5k 148-10K . With just 4 questions 5k rank difference? Only luck plays the role.Such huge syllabus to be completed in 10 days.I know it will be tough but not this much. Started Revision but crashed on Day 3. Why do I always have such high expectations from myself even though I’m very very average? 7 long years just for this 3 hour exam. In outside world I’m not even worth 40k .Whereas 4 years engineering done you can earn lakhs and crores. Even if I put half this hard work there it would have worked wonders. But this Universe made have no interest in engineering and some interest in biology.(why universe?why?)8 years ago I badly wanna be a doctor. Now I’m…..Not even single happy moment.Last time I was happy was exactly 13 months before. At my graduation, after that only gulit.Even can’t sleep properly. Feel very useless now …now I want some branch verybadly.Even If I got that branch will I be happy ?Or after 3 years again I have to long for other things?

Excuse me for any spelling or grammatical error

EXPECTATIONS

I know most serious aspirants targeting a <5k rank are probably studying rather than browsing Reddit 😅, but I’d still like to get a realistic idea of the current score range.

For someone seriously targeting AIR <5k, what do you think is a realistic target?

145+?

It would be especially helpful to know your Marrow GT/Mock score + rank so we can get an idea of the current competition with the new 180-question pattern.

Thanks! 🙏

Need advice: Should I take the MOCK GT live or after completing my revision?

I was planning to attempt the upcoming NEET PG mock GT live next Sunday(August 2)because I thought the live percentile would be more accurate. However, according to my study schedule, I’ll finish my penultimate revision only by August 10. If I wait another 7 days(August 11)and take the GT after completing the revision, I feel my score will better reflect my actual preparation.

One of my friends suggested that I should definitely attempt it live since the percentile and rank would be more meaningful.

What would you do in this situation?

  • Take the GT live now for a more accurate percentile?
  • Or complete the revision first and then take the GT a week later?

I’d really appreciate your reasoning behind your choice, especially from people who have already cleared NEET PG or are serious aspirants.

CONFIDENCE BOOSTER

People who qualified NEET PG 2025: What were your last Marrow GT/mock scores (about a month before the exam), and what did you finally score in NEET PG 2025? Also, did you perform better or worse than your GTs? If you’re comfortable, please mention your final rank too.

EXAM DAY STRATEGY

So, we all know that NEET PG is a test of both knowledge and smartness in the exam. Before, 200 questions were there. So 160 is considered as a good score. With which, we can get around 2K -3K rank. But now, the question has been reduced to 180. So, what they are testing? We should be more accurate, that is, how many questions should I attempt, how many questions should I leave. So there must be some mathematical strategy behind it.let me spill my thoughts on this. They are expecting us to be more accurate in answering the question. So, if both students got same number of corrects, they are going to break the tie based on the number of incorrects. So it is better to leave more number of questions than we do that in 200 questions if we are unsure. Is my thinking is right or do you have any other option? So what is the main strategy shift for the new exam? Please share your thoughts and reason behind it

180 instead of 200

Changing question numbers from 200 to 180 just two months before exam conduction is so stupid. What are the advantages and disadvantages related to it? So, in same amount of time, the questions number have been reduced from 200 to 180. So, we can expect very long, lengthy questions. like USMLE type. And second one, we can expect video-based questions. So, third one, we don't have enough tests to practice because even in Marrow, there are only three new GTs remaining for NEET PG. Only with these three sets of paper, how can we prepare for the real exam? And it will be definitely very tough competition because already in INICET, we saw there is much rank clustering. Here, the rank clustering will be at the highest. Even one mistake will cost you more than 1k rank. So, let’s be ready for that.
