One night solo in San Sebastián—where should I eat!!!

Hi everyone! I’ll be solo in San Sebastián for one night in September on my way to Biarritz, and I’m trying to figure out where to eat. I’m a huge foodie, so of course I’m doing way too much research ahead of time.

Here’s my current dinner list:

  • KBTXIKI by KBZÓN
  • Bar KBZÓNa
  • Bar Néstor
  • Arenales Donostia
  • Manojo
  • Antonio Bar

Since I only have one night, should I commit to one restaurant or do a little pintxos crawl and try a few different places? I usually try to avoid the really popular tourist places and would rather find somewhere locals actually love, but I also don’t want to skip a classic if it actually lives up to the hype!

Also, is Ganbara worth it or overrated? I keep seeing very mixed reviews. And of course I need Basque cheesecake... should I go to La Viña for the classic experience, or is there somewhere else that does it better? I

Would love any advice or additions to my list! thanks so much! :)

First Day as a Social Media Manager

Hi everyone! I’m excited (kinda nervous) because I just landed my first official role as a Social Media Manager. I’ve created content for brands and managed social accounts before, but this is my first legitimate SMM position. Wednesday is my first day, and I’d love to hear any advice or things you wish you knew when starting out!!

For those of you who have been in the industry for a while, what has helped you succeed early on? Any mistakes I should avoid? Thanks everyone!

Finally got to the final round of my dream job and got rejected with a ChatGPT email!

So close but so far to my dream role at my dream company and it’s such a sad feeling. Especially knowing thousands of people applied via LinkedIn and I made it all the way to the final round. I went through multiple rounds of interviews, prepared like crazy, felt extremely confident coming out of every single one and after all of that they sent me the most generic, soulless rejection email I’ve ever seen. You could tell it was AI generated. Not even a personal touch after everything I put into it. It just feels so dismissive after you’ve invested so much time and energy into a company. I don’t have the energy to keep applying to hundred of jobs. Venting but also wondering if this is just the norm now?? :(
