Is cheating (more) common in Valorant now ?

Hi,

I remember back in the day people would say that Valorant is so much better than Counter Strike, especially on the competitive side, one main argument that stood out to me was the anticheat that made cheating hard if not impossible.

Last time I played Valorant was 3 or 4 years ago and now that I got back, people in gold lobbies sometime say "the enemy Sova is weird he probably has wallhack" and shit like that. Idk the first time I was like do they not know that Valorant has a kernel level anticheat (or whatever it's called) and that it is well known that you get banned instantly while cheating ?

But it kept being more frequent. I wouldn't say those people cheated, in fact some people even accused me of cheating during my sessions. However my question is why did people start "hackusing" each other ? Since when ?

Which GPU is better ?

Hey everyone !
I'll make it quick, here's the PC that I'm building :

  • Ryzen 7 9800X3D
  • 32Go DDR5 6000Mhz

I want to get a good GPU for 1440p, in France I can either get a 5070 at 599€ or a 9070XT at 699€. Which do you recommand ?

I mostly do gaming (casual and comp), I sometime do some AI project, game dev and modeling in Blender (usually only low poly stuff). The 9070XT seems really the best price to performace here for me but I was always team NVIDIA so idk what to expect from AMD. I really like DLSS and all of the software, I also wanted to try Smooth Motion.

I don't really know what to pick because sure the 9070XT is better but I don't want to have a bad experience with AMD and regret my choice :'(

What do you think guys ? Is it frequent for a NVIDIA guy to regret picking an AMD GPU ?

RTX 5070 worked for 20 seconds then black screen, the replacement won't "POST" at all

Hey everyone,

Specs:

  • Ryzen 7 9800X3D
  • RTX 5070
  • 32GB DDR5 6000MHz
  • MSI B850M Gaming Plus WiFi 6E

The story:

I just built my PC like 1-2 weeks ago. First RTX 5070 worked fine at first. Installed drivers, tested Minecraft. When I uncapped FPS, it hit around 2000fps or something, however the PC sounded like a jet engine, then after ~20 seconds, a black screen. No video signal, but I could still hear game audio. PC seemed otherwise normal.

Tried a GPU benchmark → same thing, but instant this time.

Tested my old RTX 3070 → worked perfectly.

So I returned the 5070 (thought it was faulty) and bought the exact same model on Amazon. Used the iGPU while waiting, I played Minecraft and Geometry Dash.

Today the new 5070 arrived.

PC turns on. RGB lights up. Fans spin (including GPU fans). But no display signal and keyboard/mouse don't light up (they normally do when Windows loads or when I'm in the BIOS).

It's like the PC is on but won't POST or boot into Windows.

Tried basic troubleshooting 😞

Any ideas? Could it be a BIOS/PCIe compatibility issue? Bad luck with two faulty cards? Something else? Something seems really fishy, the first one could at least let me go in windows.

Thanks for any help.
