Has anyone summited a peak crossing the Canadian and US border?

I am a US citizen looking into Mount Custer in GNP starting from Akamina Ridge on the Waterton side. The only information I got from the visitor center in Canada was to download the CBP ROAM app, but he was not sure how set up the trip.

Curious if anyone has any personal experience on how to navigate this. Thanks!

Can someone make a website that rates jobs and places of employment? Like ratemyprofessors?

Hello hello,

I am in no way, shape, or form someone able to create a website out of lack of knowledge and time. I have had this idea on the docket ever since working seasonal jobs that end up having either a toxic work environment, breaks their promises set before hiring, or uses employees outside their job description (generally for the worse, like making someone work front desk when their job is labeled for field missions). I used ratemyprofessors to help me navigate through school.

I want this to help people avoid wasting their time, energy, and mental health on places that they either stay to receive references, meet daily bills, and have literally no other choice but to deal with it until their contract or season expires. I am hoping this could hold workplaces more accountable where employment would rise in the more favorable spots while decreasing in the less.

I know this happens with both temporary and permanent positions and it could help dodge some bullets and, hopefully, make better work environments. It would may a verification process to prove someone worked at said job as there could be paid reviews, like Amazon or product fake reviews to increase their ratings, while also protecting those with reviews?

I guess writing it out, it sounds less simple than it seems, but I’d still like to throw this out there just in case. I realize this can be very subjective, but maybe still helpful.

Does anyone use NCLEX prep courses while in school to solidify information?

As stated in the title, I was wondering if people have found programs they can use while in school. I ask as I’m sure information can be lost within the two year process of the dense information we’re taught.

Thanks!

No idea how to build up the living area

I know I have two clashing colors of furniture, but is there a rug color/style that would work? Also, unsure what to put in the corner and if I should add shelves to the walls somewhere. Anything helps!

For someone basically starting from scratch at 32 with running, how long does it take to reach a half marathon?

For more context, I have never been a long distance runner and have only been able to run 2 miles on and off. I’m 6’2, 170 lbs, an avid hiker that lifts weights. I want to ensure I progress properly without injuring myself — I had metatarsalitis from progressing too fast while landing more on my forefoot (whoops).

What’s a realistic goal I should set for myself? And I will probably find some training resource to make sure I progress properly.

Thanks!!

EDIT: wow, I have never gotten so many replies so quickly for advice. This community is fascinating! I’m trying to reply to all, but my thumbs are getting tired haha. I can’t wait to show you all my progress over time.

I forgot to add I’ve been having a tight left IT band issue that requires my hip area to be popped back into place. When I can’t from tightness, it misaligns my knee and feels like it grinds it. Any additional advice is also helpful for that!
