Telugu guy here, moved to Bengaluru about a year ago (HSR Layout). Recently switched to a remote role and now have more time & flexibility. I can read Kannada pretty well and speak at a basic level, but I want to improve it by leaps and bounds so I can actually hold proper conversations.

I’m fluent in German and English at a native level (spent almost 7 years in Europe and 1 year in America), and I work directly with European clients as a business consultant (AI + Embedded Systems background). I also speak elementary French and Spanish. Spent nearly 2 years in Kerala teaching German and occasionally working as a tour guide for German travellers as a side quest — so I understand the tenets of language acquisition quite well. Deeply into philosophy and an avid traveller — nearly 40 countries so far. Happy to do a proper language exchange or share insights from work, travel, or philosophy if that creates mutual value.

Looking for serious people who want consistent practice.

Also open to suggestions — any good organisations, language cafés, meetups, or places in the city where I can hang out and pick up Kannada naturally.

I moved to the KPC layout, along the Hosa road a year ago. The stray dog problem in this layout is too annoying to deal with. What baffles me is the fact that there are a few people who regularly feed these dogs, one of them, the most annoying guy >> I don't understand how jobless he is, almost everyday sharp around 10pm, he comes on his scooty with a sack of food and feeds these dogs. Once I confronted him & he comes up with very weird arguments that if you feed them they good karma will be upon you & you'll get a good wife😵. Just a mentally fucked up human being...he regularly argues with even the seniors who also have issues with these dogs around. This guy gets to fuck up a street with his weird ways at the expense of others. I feel like slapping the shit Outta him every time I see him with his sack of food and the damn dogs, but yeah the entire street is packed with cc cameras and the assault would be caught on tape for sure.

What bothers me the most are most of the people here are well educated, hold IT jobs and feed these street dogs with weird reasons. There was a neighbour of mine in my own apartment complex who used to bathe these street dogs in our apartment ground floor>> I confronted that guy and his entire family ganged up against me> as I told them that the dog hair is all-over the lift and stairs, they stick to my sofas and other textiles so better keep the dogs out, to which he replied "My shirt and pants are all with dog hair, in that case even I am not allowed huh to the apartment complex, you just hate dogs"... I lost it and I called my peeps, put some fear in him and within a month, I got him evicted out of the apartment as the landlord found out this shit idiocracy he does every weekend.

You can find these street dogs almost everywhere in packs in this layout, they even reside in the local cafe. People are just zombie-like, these dogs run behind motorcycles, randomly attack kids & delivery agents. Just no one gives a fuck about these things, as if that doesn't bother them at all. I was at the local veggie store and I saw a drunk man randomly bitten by one of these packs and I could see him fall on the ground in pain and yet people walked around him non-chalantly as if an ant or a mosquito bit him.

How are people this unoblivious to the fact that these dogs carry rabies , a single bite would ensure injections & god forbid if a pack attacks you at once. The feeders, I really can't understand their psyche and their arguments. I also learnt that these fucking dogs also have rights & poisoning them would invite criminal cases ... WTF is wrong with this country... I even complained to the BBMP and they never take any action...

I would appreciate a working practical solution to get rid of these packs of dogs from this layout or at least within my own street. Just don't advise me to move out, as because of traffic and work reasons I cannot move out of this address for at least the next 2 years.
