Friend has relationship problems
Hey, so for starters I am aroace so i have no experience in anything to do with relationships. Me and my friend were friends in high school and since have been quite close out of it (bout 11yrs total friendship). She has been with her boyfriend for a few years now, and from the beginning she has told me she doesnt want to end up with him. But time has gone on they have moved in together and all that.
I know I am a very logical person and dont understand the feelings involved but dont want to give too many specific details as I am trying to keep this vague just in case.
I have and will continue to support her in their relationship, but about once a month or so she will complain about him in a serious way(like considering breaking up), she has told me multiple times that she doesnt see herself ending up with him, they dont share the same goals in life etc.
The logical, protective side of my brain is constantly fighting with the part of me that wants to respect that she is her own person. I just want her to have what she wants in life, but the years keep going by and she is still with this man.
I dont even know what im asking or looking for here, guess I just needed to get this off my chest.
