I wanted to showcase this absolute work of art! The Large Cabat is craftsmanship at its finest. Taking 3 days to make, the bag is specially designed with no seams so the beauty is consistent inside and out. A technique that only 16 people know how to do and was passed down from generation to generation. Only one artisan crafts the bag at a time to avoid misalignment with the intrecciato and has to stand to complete because sitting will alter the integrity of the bag.
This specific Large Cabat is truly special to me. Each leather strip (fettucce) has a printed section to compose a map of NYC.
