What kind of dog is this?

So for centuries, Mongolia and I had been scrapping over borders and trade cities, but their wars with everyone else left them with just two run-down cities. Meanwhile, I was getting hammered by barbarians from the north and needed a fix.

Then it hit me, why not rebuild Mongolia as a buffer? I was loaded, so I paid off Genghis Khan's enemies, then flooded his territory with my workers and settlers. I founded new cities along his borders, pointed them at the tundra, and told them to keep the bandits and Turks off my back. I even booted out some Khmer invaders and handed their cities back.

Fast forward, and I layered on charity, shared religion, defense pacts, and some reparations. By 2040, Mongolia's cities are gleaming, the outer territories are booming, and our heirs just got married, marking one hundred years of being my hat :^)
