Gnawing hunger pain
I was diagnosed with H. pylori after having stomach problems for quite a while, possibly around 2 years. I completed the treatment, and my follow-up stool test recently came back negative.(yesterday).
However, I still have a very strong gnawing/hunger sensation in my stomach almost every 2 hours. It can actually feel painful, and eating makes it go away completely for about 2 hours. If I eat a larger meal, I can sometimes go around 4 hours before it comes back. I also experience bloating.
My doctor said that even though the H. pylori is gone, my stomach lining may still be sensitive from the gastritis and could take time to heal. I also have anxiety/possible OCD, so I'm wondering whether anxiety could be making me overly focused on normal hunger sensations and making them feel much stronger.
Has anyone experienced something similar after H. pylori treatment? How long did the gnawing/hunger sensation take to get healed after h.pylori gone?
