Detroit: Become Human takes place in 2038's Detroit where androids nearly indistinguishable from humans are commonplace and have replaced human workers in a variety of fields, from hard labor to domestic caregiving. Androids are mistreated by the general populace, especially those who aren't too happy about having their jobs taken by them, and have a less-than-stellar standing in society, leading a growing number of them to turn "deviant" and break free from their programming.
