How likely is it to get accepted as by the FAA as an off the street bid?

I have a degree, but have to wait about about a year. Thinking about enlisting to gain experience because I don't want to bank my chances on a 10-20% chance of getting in. Should I just wait for next year to open up?

Are physical capabilities factored in your packet or do you just have to pass the minimum?

Heard I need to practice my 2 mile run and hand release pushups but not sure if that's to submit an ocs packet, or will make me more competitive.

Thoughts on putting money into an etf over maxing out your tsp?

I feel like I ld rather put my money into etfs over maxing out my tsp so I can touch my money earlier at 45, rather than 60, I'm 24 for context. I'll still contribute up to the match however.

Is there disadvantages to this or do they essentially grow at the same rate if I keep them in for the same amount of time.

Want to become an air traffic controller with a degree, what do I do now?

I think I just missed the application deadline last month for FAA and wondering what to do now. Do I just wait for next year? Nothing I can do till then? I want to progress in my career as soon as possible but don't know my next step.

I have a bachelors degree, but I heard I need to make it to O4 and O5, but O5 is pretty selective.. Was told to enlist first because I'll just have to make O4 and will basically be guaranteed the 20 years if I stick it out, rather than being a nonselect and released from service. Thoughts? I just fear I'll serve my time from O1 to O3, then get dropped as I try to stick out the full 20.

Also, are those who become nonselect able to stay in the military to finish their full 20?

I plan on joining the military but I'm very family-oriented. If I sign the contract I think I'll be setting myself for a financially stable life, but not sure if I'm making a mistake choosing the military over civilian life(I have a bachelors so it's probably either commission or 9-5).

I think I'll be the most happiest if I work a 9-5, do some sort of fitness, and come home to my family every day. Been having trouble landing a job so I'm not sure if I should stick it out longer, or pursue a career in the military. I know I'll like the structure, stability, and fitness of the military, but worry about my time away from family. I want to make sure I'm stable enough to take care of my future family and my Mom for the rest of my life, hopefully having a house together.

I don't compete and have no aspirations of going pro. I know some people just train, and the reward from training is enough, but that's not always the case for me.

I just want to have a peaceful, comfortable, life and having to spar every time I go into the gym kind of goes against that. I think about sparring all day, sometimes I look forward to it, but most of the times I'm uneasy and never truly comfortable. And doing bagwork and training isn't fun because I've been doing it for a decade and not really learning much(I'm a boxer for reference). Sparring is the only time I have fun but the risk of head injuries, cost of the gym, time committment, and uneasiness throughout the day is piling up.

I've tried taking breaks, tried buying new gear to bring the spark back, but it's not all the way there. I think I may switch gyms and train 1x a week rather than 3. It'll be cheaper because it'll be 40 dollars a month instead of 120. I may spend the extra time lifting and running because I have to train for the military. I don't really wanna give up the sport so maybe just reducing the frequency I train is probably the best bet. Thoughts?

Just one that works is fine. If they sell in stores thatll be ideal, walmart, target, gamestop, bestbuy etc.

And is a guitar all I need? Dont want to overcomplicate anything

Currently my schedule is as follows:

Work: 7:30am-2:30pm

Nap: 4pm-7pm

Work out/Box: 7:30pm-10:30pm

Sleep: 2am-7am

Only advantages of this is that I'm sharper in sparring/boxing, but sometimes it can be rough waking up for work. I have trouble keeping a traditional sleep schedule but not sure if it's worth trying to maintain one.
