Gabriel Jacoby is the best talent to come to R&B this decade

Spent the last week soaking up his music and I'm blown away with each listen. His lyricism, production, raw vocal talent with a voice that reaches high falsetto's and bellowing depths have all just got me hooked.

I haven't heard anything like this since... maybe Sonder? But while Brent came through with a gentle love album, GJ just has this range of music that goes from reflecting on love/relationships, family, hustling, to high energy party tracks. The orchestral jazz influence, touches of Prince and D'Angelo too, there's so much depth here to sink into.

Here's a couple stand outs:

  • hello - some of that booming orchestral jazz
  • brother and sister - reflections on family
  • forever - reflections on insecurity in love
  • bootleg - high energy track that I swear sounds like a 2000's Pharrell/Just Timberlake track

I highly recommend checking him out, you won't be disappointed

Anyone know why all arriving flights at Zurich airport are delayed?

Stuck onboard a plane that should’ve departed 1.5 hours ago and we’re looking at up to a 3 hour wait. I’ve checked Zurich arrivals and lots of flights are delayed or cancelled. I tried Googling some info but can’t find anything.

Would appreciate some insight if anyone knows anything!

Amex Platinum benefits in Oman?

Hi folks, I'll be visiting Oman this year after a wonderful trip last year.

As a tourist, I was really surprised to learn about some of the Amex Platinum benefits: like up to 25% off at restaurants. I'm so sad we learnt about it on our final night so this time, I'll be prepared!

Curious to know if anyone would mind sharing any other benefits in Oman (which I know is issued more broadly across the GCC).

Weather across Java and Sumba - is the weather that bad right now?

Hi all,

Main question: from a local's point of view, is the weather that wet and that bad right now?

I have a holiday in Indonesia this week that I'm really excited for! But the weather doesn't look great at all. BBC, Apple Weather, AccuWeather and BMKG show quite a lot of rain.

Additionally, with reports of microplastic rain and floods, if I put 2 and 2 together, it looks like we wont get the beach weather we've been looking for.

Just curious to know what we're in for as we booked May due to it dependably being the dry season.
