I moved here about 8 years ago, what’s one thing about the area that shocked you?
For me it was Heat Lightning, I came from NJ and I had never seen that before I didn’t know it was a thing!!

This is not a post to bash transplants this is for us to share what different/better/cooler about here than where we grew up

I followed this honey syrup recipe from a vintage cookbook I have (I wrote it down first because it a big book I didn’t want to have to look for it again)
And at the end it just tastes, burnt. Like not good at all. I went back to the book to make sure I made I right and I did it’s just not good. I will try it again when I get more Honey. But damn that’s a bummer
Hopefully next time it’s better and this time was just bakers error.

I have been for YEARS looking for a record player, where the record player part still works, picked this up for $22 today and I’m finally playing my Late Dads records, currently crying sitting on the floor listing to Pink Floyd

I like collecting coins,(both foreign and domestic, I stick to older for domestic coins) and I haven’t had anything pre 1900 for American coins and I found this they other day in a thrifted bag. I was sooo stoked. It was already in the cardboard when I found it, I don’t think I’ll take it out lol

I work at a thrift store, found these when sorting donations today, no bueno

I work at a Thrift Store, someone donated a iPad, didn’t leave us the passcode and no number to contact them. How do I factory reset it so it can be sold? It be a waste if we just trashed it.
Back says the Model is A1489
