i work at a tech start up and I am the first candidate who is going through PERM, I140 and I485 process. I have approved PERM and based on Oct bulletin my PD is current for EB2.
My immigration firm and HR team is not much familiar with the immigration process , risks, visa stamping issues, etc.. We are in process of filing my I 140, 485, etc and the immigration team and the HR is not on page to file for premium processing for I 140.

Upon discussing the benefits of faster processing and no risk of 485 rejection, HR claims that as it is not a threat to employment, the I 140 premium processing request is not justified.

My request for advise from folks who have been in same boat currently and in the past, what are some data points I can use to request my HR and immigration team to file my 140 case in premium processing given that my PD is current and does not make sense to wait for next ~6 months for 140 approval as a part of standard processing and then proceed with 485AOS.

I have been tracking PermUpdate.com since last few months as my application was filed in nov '25. which is currently being processed as per the website.

My PD is May 2013 EB2 (India) which will be current in next month bulletin (hopefully). switched jobs, lay off, etc hence didn't make it in 2022 FY for GC.

As per permupdate website, i see applications filed in Oct '25 through out the month but my employer immigration firm did not file my application in Oct '25 stating that there is a Government shutdown and that USCIS website wasn't accepting applications. If that is true, how are applications currently being processed for October '25 being filed?

I have been tracking perm update dot com for few months now as my PERM application (EB-2) from my employer is filed in Nov 2025. My PD is current since last 1 year.

today on permupdatedotcom i see that -

Starting November 2025 - March 2025, there is update on 1-2 cases either RFI or Denied for these months. There is no updates on any cases between Feb 2025 - August 2025.

I am curious to know how whether DOL does process cases adhoc or they are speed processing starting later half of 2025.?

Any insights?
