Walking my dog down California Ave last night just after the smoke, pot shops and nail salons. Some ass hat emptied their cats litter box, turds and all, in the dirt just past the apartment complexes there. Thanks, my dog got a lovely mouthful of forbidden nerds ropes before I saw what was there. He was ecstatic; I was not.
Is it really that hard to just dump it off in a bag and put it in the dumpster? I bet you’re the same type of person who gripes when a dog owner doesn’t pick up a turd.
Please do better,
Signed a dog owner that bags and trashes poop 3x a day.
Sleepless night at a house sit, and stats just refreshed. Im not a new sitter per se, but my stats dont look like a super established sitter either. Could and should be higher, but I assume you guys can solve that mystery;)
However, i keep growing, and Im down to only 10hrs a week at a W2 job (bars), and very close to giving that up with a bit of confidence and a bit of finger crossing.
Im fortunate in my housing (many room mates yet large house), and I stand out in a lot of ways from other sitters in my market.
Just wish these would refresh more often. Curious how yalls look, especially those of you also close to quitting jobs and those that have and only rely on animal gigs.
✌️
PS: Tiers have deff hurt me!! But also weirdly successful as intended. I am much more proactive about staying on app and selling the platform/services to retain business. Already feeling the Tier 2 bennies.
Ama about my night, my job, or anything.

Found this sub, feel like my dog belongs. Also just love showing off my homie.
This started about 24 hours ago under the influence of a couple drinks. Became aroused, cruised a mens hookup
Site, sniffies, shared some pics, gave my number, today after confirming me/leading me on, he made the black mail threats, and as I found out later, followed through on.
Yes I blocked the number.
AMA, still processing, and cant sleep. This shit just started.
This is happening now. Cruising a hook up app last night and gave number out after a few identifying pictures sent. They did pull my full name even after a false name given. Besides mild embarrassment if anything gets out, im not to concerned about major backlash. However, this still sucks. And I dont know what to do.
Im in my 30s. I blocked them as soon as it came out. Anything else I can do?
Oh boy. Hi everyone. Ive had my first scary experience with a Rover dog. One Ive walked 2-3 times a week since the end of March. This is a freak incident and a response to pain & discomfort from a mending problem around his hip or spinal region near his tail. As well, a poo that he wasnt able to shake loose. Many variables, and many warning signs noticed by me in the 10 or so minutes leading up to attack; I just did not consider the aggression would be directed at me at this point in our relationship.
Neither me nor the dog were hurt! I maintained control of the leash and eventually regained control of the dog, and went straight back to his house.
The dog: 9-10 month Doberman GSD 80ish lbs. high energy, reactive (dogs, birds, scooters, for example, but never human). Wicked smart. Cute as hell.
The Humans: Truly exemplary owners. They go above and beyond to do whats right and best for their dog, and have been nothing short of supportive and appreciative of my time and contributions. They routinely work with a dog trainer, and reinforce training at home daily. Just perfect all the way around.
The Incident:
The first 35-40 mins of our walk was great. Ive been really working on his reactivity to other dogs with great results, and this day was really going well! But finally he slipped up, lost his chill at a passing dog, and then I swear a gauntlet of dogs appeared out of no where, so we migrated back into the quiet neighborhood. This is where he finally decided to poo. No big deal, except someones been over doing it at the salad bar and had an undigested grass mess stuck in his butt. Happens to my dog sometimes, and others ive walked. I put another bag on my hand and attempted to help.
Side note: Yes I considered he may not like this, and he did indicate that, but also kept positioning like he was asking for help. And again, ive not experienced aggression with him before, and generally am cool when a dog sets a boundary or corrects me on something they dont like. I pay very good attention!
So there I am, bagged hand. He stops and lets me reach that way, but as soon as I made contact he reeled back, paused, hackles went up, slow low growl intensified, teeth bared, he rears up and lunges at me with a full bite attempt. I extend my arm all the way and pull up on the leash and he gnashes a bit trying to tag my arm. We pivot, hes still aggressive, growling, looking for the attack. I do my best to redirect his focus with commands, “sit, lay down, leave it”. Eventually he complied in a sit.
This all lasted about 60 seconds, and maybe another 120 seconds before both of us were relaxed enough to walk on. I called his owner to relay what happened, as well brace them for maybe needing to pick us up if he would not cooperate.
I was caught off guard, not expecting an established client whom I built much trust with, to do this. I 100% believe this to be as a result of his current medical issue that causes pain, and as well a little bit me crossing a boundary with his butt. However. This scared me. And I was very anxious dropping off in the back yard and having to unclip his leash, because he was very aroused and trying to engage in intense play, which I could not.
The owners offered plenty of reassurance, and even for me to take a break from our walks. Theyve just been great in the wake of this.
Im unsure what to do as far as rover goes. I do feel im obligated to report this in the dogs feed back and warn other potential sitters. But I also recognize the nuance of this incident.
Would you drop this client, take a few weeks off and try again, or just see how the next scheduled service goes? Its tomorrow btw, lol. Idk, just looking for some outside but relevant input.
Thanks for reading.
