Dont want anyone else, but dont want to spend life alone

I lost my soul mate 2 years and 3 months ago. Our relationship ended a few months before he died due to his mental illness and a whole lot of life stressors, but he was and always will be the love of my life. We loved each other to the end, but couldn't find a way to be together.

Im 47 and hate that I'm navigating life alone and dont want to be flying solo forever but I just cannot imagine life with anyone else. Ive looked at dating apps and met a couple of people, but they just aren't him. No one else even begins to come close.

Has anyone been where I am? How did you deal with it?

Partial Garage Conversion - what do I need to do?

Apologies if this is obvious, my late partner used to deal with this kind of stuff so, explain it to me like Im 6.

I have a link detached house, so my garage connects to my neighbours garage. They don't have a room above theirs like I do. Pics are floorplan of mine.

I need to partially convert my garage to create an office and dont know where to start with whats needed. Can someone help please?

Is it better to use a specialist garage conversion company who can do everything like plans and build? Will I need permission from neighbours as our garages are linked?

What else do I need to consider?

Thanks so much.
