I’m joining adgips as a fresher and to be clear I AM NOT JUDGING ANYONE OR ANY PARTICULAR GROUP but I have visited the college personally because I have a few friends there and also to take the admission, and my interaction with people and the first impression of the crowd overall has not been very great 🥀
College ki samne samne sutte ki dukan hai jahan apne bhai logg breaks mai enjoy krte hai 🥰
Again, I’m not judging on the basis of looks or style of something or anything but like I found so many people confused about everything and like not interested in whatever they are doing. A vast % of crowd is not at all interested in academics and only interested in grouping and badmashi wagrah.
No idea kaise survive krna hai agle 4 saal.
Hopefully I find people of my vibe here jinke sath yeh time worth it rhe.
I, BY MISTAKE, applied to defence 5th priority and got mait cse with 10 lakh rank. Now to prevent being thrown out of the counselling I have also paid the counselling fees of 96k. I want to change my priority of 8th and I am ready to surrender my seat and also want to be a part of all the rounds of counselling. What should I do?
Hello.
We, the family of 4 are visiting andaman from 10 june to 16 june (2D port blair, 3D Havelock and then back to port blair) .
We had already planned our trip a few months ago for this period because of our vacations and had already booked the flights in excitement without doing any prior research about weather situation during this period.
Now, there are high chances of rain in the upcoming days and it just upsets me that we can’t expect much from our trip. But do you all have any tips for us about what all things we can do even if it rains to make this trip worth it?
Will scuba diving be a good choice during this time or will the rain affect the visibility making the experience poor?
Will the ferries be cancelled if weather is really bad?
Which is the most reliable site to book a ferry?
I am looking forward to travel through green ocean 1 due to its open deck, which class should I book? Economic vs premium vs royal?
What if the ferry cancels due to bad weather since I am travelling next week and there are high chances of rain, will I get my money back?
I just feel so insecure because of all my facial features and this is just one of them, pls suggest any thing that could make it look better. These are things which I want to be improved -
Hi,
Can someone pls tell, defence personnel gets reimbursement for which of these classes? there are more classes for different ferry.
Also can someone tell if there are more benefits that defence personnel can get on the Andaman island so to save as much as possible.
Guys I am going to Andaman from 10th june to 16th june and I just made an estimate of our total cost for our meals and it’s way too much. We, the family of 4 cannot afford to pay like 30k+ only on meals.
Here is our split - port blair (2 days), havelock (2 days), neil island (1 day), and back to port blair (1 day).
We are okay with both veg as well as non veg.
Pls also, if possible tell us an approx minimum amount we should expect for breakfast, lunch and dinner for these 6 days for 4 people.
Thank you.
Hello,
My father is a WO in the Air Force and has been serving for over 25 years. He was posted to x wing, somewhere in y state, around 6–7 months ago.
Initially, everything was normal: Monday to Friday duty from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with afternoon duties on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
However, recently, some new officers have come into positions of authority, and the work culture has become terrible.
The morning duties remain almost the same, from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. But now there are afternoon duties every single day, often from 4:00 PM to 9:00 or even 10:00 PM. There are no offs on Saturdays, and sometimes Saturdays are even more hectic than weekdays.
My father does not live with us here in Delhi; he stays in billets. Because of this, his breakfast, lunch, and dinner depend entirely on mess timings. There have been days when he has missed dinner simply because he returned from duty at 11:00 PM and the mess timings did not align.
This has been his routine for almost two months now. Leaves have also become difficult, but I suppose that should be discussed in a separate post. There are a few more things I want to add, but I just can’t.
Now, here are my questions:
It might sound childish and immature but if your father / mother is an officer and has power to bring a difference, please tell him about this situation.
I have tried to share as much details as possible without sharing any confidential information.
Thank you for reading

Is there anything at all that I, or anyone else, can do to improve these working conditions? Because I do not want to see my father working 12–13 hours every day in his 50s, skipping meals, and not getting the rest he genuinely needs.
What kind of organisation is the IAF turning into? Why are defence personnel being treated like trained labourers?
It might sound childish and immature but if your father / mother is an officer and has power to bring a difference, please tell him about this situation.

Hello seniors
Pls guide me whether I should choose JIIT sec 62 IT which I’ll most probably get based on my 12th % (86% last year, jee percentile very poor) over a normal Ipu college like adgips (IT branch).
Posting this right now because to join this adgips (adgips because others are either too expensive through management quota or too bad) I’ll have to pay the donation amount to the college chairman within next few days (almost 4-5 lakh which is a lot and it’s not refundable). Now I’m very confused and I need your help to make a decision.
Things I have in my mind -
The schedule at jaypee is very hectic and since I live like 1.5 hours away from sec 62 (via metro) it becomes more hectic for me while it’s not the same case for adgips.
With donation I’ll have to pay a total of 11 lakh to adgips for 4 year while 16 lakh to jaypee.
The attendance policies at jaypee are very strict while it’s not the case for adgips.
If I join adgips I can save a lot of time and invest it on me learning new skills like programming, participating in events and societies, play sports, and do self improvements while if I join JIIT, I’ll probably lose out on a lot of things.
In jaypee I’ll get many internship opportunities but interships at ipu are like non existent. I can also have a decent placement in jaypee but I can still secure some decent off campus placement from ipu. (Sorry if i’m delusional, i need your guidance).
