I20-Nline DCT Long drive impression
I drove my i20 N Line from Hyderabad to Vizag recently and honestly, I’m really impressed with the car.
For most of the trip, I kept the cruise around 80–100 km/h and it was giving around 20 kmpl, sometimes even crossing 21 kmpl.
For the last ~150 km, I started driving a bit more spiritedly — mostly 120+ km/h, higher revs, quick overtakes, etc. Even after that, I ended up with around 18.4 kmpl at the destination.
What impressed me even more is that I completed the entire Hyderabad–Vizag trip on a single full tank (37L), and when I reached home, I still had around 80 km range left.
And honestly, the performance is what I’m enjoying the most. The quick overtakes, the exhaust note, the way the car responds when you push it a little — I’m really loving it. The confidence I’m getting while driving this car is honestly outstanding.
The total journey time was around 11 hours 45 minutes, but the actual driving time was around 8 hours 45 minutes. Almost 3 hours was idle time because I had my baby with me, so we had to take multiple breaks.
This was on E20 fuel, and the car had just completed its first service.
Overall, I’m genuinely surprised by how well the i20 N Line performs while still giving such good mileage. 😄
