I made an app that show the macOS dock on all your displays

Hey everyone,

macOS has a really annoying limitation of only having a single dock at all times. If you're running multiple monitors, having the dock jump between screens is really annoying, especially if you depend on it to switch between apps.

ExtraDock lets you show the dock on all your displays, it looks and behaves like the default dock, except it's more customizable with widgets, custom app icons and looks and has better reaction time than the default macOS dock. You don't necessarily need to get rid of your macOS dock, you can use it alongside it or you can choose to replace it entirely.

Core Features

- Widgets such as Live Dock to duplicate your macOS dock & Space-only dynamic dock to show only apps in the space you're currently on.

- Docks can be assigned to different monitors and automatically hide/show when those monitors are connected/disconnected.

- Customizable in both behavior (collapse, auto hide, hide on fullscreen) and visuals.

- Preview apps on hover.

- Drag & Drop files into folders or the Shelf widget for easy organization.

- Folder Stack widget to group folders under a single icon

ExtraDock 5 release

ExtraDock has been running for over a year now and it serves more than 1,500 users.

The current ExtraDock version is for macOS 12 (Monterey) all the way to macOS 26 (Tahoe)

We are currently in open beta for ExtraDock 5, the new version specifically developed for macOS Tahoe and Golden Gate.

There's no difference between licenses, for us lifetime means lifetime, that means any user can use any version of ExtraDock, there's no upgrade fee.

Check out the website here, any feedback is welcome!

ExtraDock - Show the dock on both screens. Summer sale 40% off. ExtraDock 5 for Tahoe & Golden Gate update

Hey everybody!

ExtraDock lets you show the dock on both screens, a longstanding pain for people running two or more displays.

ExtraDock is very, VERY customizable. You can use it as a dock replacement by disabling the macOS dock, or as an addition to it. You can make Extra Docks looks however you like - colors, app icons, effects, you can even make the dock completely invisible.

ExtraDock 5

ExtraDock 5 is the next official release, built for macOS 26/27. To fully take advantage of new features and visuals like Liquid Glass, we've built it as a completely separate app, both to keep development clean and to give macOS 26 users the experience they expect.

ExtraDock 4 remains available for users running older operating systems (macOS 12-26).

Users who paid for a lifetime license will get access to ExtraDock 5 (open beta, existing users can join the discord and download ExtraDock 5 beta right now). There are no additional fees or costs to upgrade, and that goes for all future versions :-)

Core Features:

- Widgets such as Live Dock to duplicate your macOS dock & Space-only dynamic dock to show only apps in the space you're currently on.

- Docks can be assigned to different monitors and automatically hide/show when those monitors are connected/disconnected.

- Customizable in both behavior (collapse, auto hide, hide on fullscreen) and visuals.

- Preview apps on hover.

- Drag & Drop files into folders or the Shelf Widget for easy organization.

- Folder Stacks to group folders under a single icon

Comparison:

ExtraDock started as more of a dock "add on", and evolved to be a complete dock replacement.

If you want to dive into this world of dock customization and options, I would start by reading the fantastic posts by u/andreshows as he covered almost every dock app in existence.

Pricing:

Summer sale 40% off until August 1st at 23:59 UTC

€9.99 - €59.99

14 Days money-back guaranteed. If you're not 100% happy with it, you'll get all your money back.

Shiori - A fast bookmark manager that keeps every Mac in sync. Fully keyboard driven.

Hey everybody!

We recently released our bookmark manager called Shiori.

Shiori lives in your menu bar, fully keyboard driven, called with a hot key and saves URLs in seconds, keeping them fully synced across your devices within seconds, using our cloud sync.

the video you can see me launching URLs, and they are directed to the specific browser profile I routed them to (with tag-based routing), using Link Groups to open multiple URLs at once and navigating the UI

Platforms currently under development

Windows, Linux, Mobile, Google Chrome browser Extension.

Core Features

- Bookmarks are fully synced between devices, one license covers unlimited devices.

- Tag-based browser routing - open tagged bookmarks on specific Google Chrome profiles (Beta is only for Google Chrome but will be extended to support more browsers based on requests).

- Link Groups - Launch a group of URLs at once, with a single click.

- Keyboard-driven access through the menu bar. Quick search bookmarks by URL, title, description or tag.

Comparison

In comparison to bookmark managers such as Raindrop.io which is very feature rich, Shiori takes the leaner quick access approach.

* I am aware that there are a couple of other bookmark managers with the name Shiori (which means bookmarks in Japanese btw), they are not related to this app. Guess who's doing a better job at naming their apps next time :-)

Pricing

Shiori is a one-time payment of €24.99 using code RMACAPPS for 50% off.

Simple Note-taking app with MCP or integration to AI?

Hey everybody,

I take a lot of notes during the day, most notes are temporary like random ideas, tasks I need to do or something that I want to remember to look up before bed.

Antinote performs that role great, but (don't hate the me for it 😄) opening the app, writing it done and closing it SORT OF throws me off the flow...

What I have in my mind / looking for

It would be amazing to tell claude/codex "Hey add this to a note", and it would magically create a sticky note on my desktop, or for that matter in a simple and quick note taking app, similar to Antinote

I would also create a skill that checks if a specific note for that day exists with a:

TODO:

IN PROGRESS:

DONE:

structure (which I currently do manually) and then just have it manage tasks in the way I like it, along several other skills to make life a bit quicker

In the words of u/amerpie:

>A power user is just someone with a low tolerance for friction and a high tolerance for tinkering.

>They notice repeated friction, investigate whether it can be removed, and then spend 45 minutes automating a task that previously took eight seconds.

The only difference is that I won't be spending only 45 minutes on that, to scratch that itch I might end up creating another mac app 😂

Turned an internal tool into a SaaS - looking for feedback on how to get my first users and potential use cases

Hi all,

I'll try to keep it short and sweet with enough context.

Built an internal tool to track link clicks at the server side (using UTMs behind the scenes), I personally used it to create links for influencers I worked with to track their performance.

Basically, you create a separate link for each post/video/creator. You can see in the images above, I posted on several sub reddits and I can see the clicks, and that's the idea, to see what drives traffic...

So for use cases, obviously for me, it's influencer marketing attribution, after landing a couple of Zoom conversations with some potential users, we discussed their use cases and if it would be helpful to them...

One idea was email/SMS campaign tracking, like they could track clicks in emails/SMS they're sending out

Another idea was in the world of ecommerce, they said they could create links for their distributors (hundreds of links) and then tracking their individual performance

What I am looking for

I'm looking for feedback and help from the good people of reddit, people who are willing to spend a minute or two thinking how it would fit into their business (even if you don't want to use it) and sharing it with me, so I can try to target those users

EDIT (Repost): Wanted to keep it without a link to the site to make sure it doens't look like an ad, but apparently this sub requires it 😂 good chance to show the link:

After working with ~40 influencers, I created a tool to track their performance

Hey everybody,

In the last year, we have spent around $10,000~ influencer collaborations.

We started as two friends building indie apps and now we're a small company of 4, mostly focused on macOS productivity apps.

Each of our apps has it's own Instagram and Tiktok account, and because we work with influencers (which is exhausting on multiple fronts 😂) we quickly ran into an issue of not being able track performance and understand where our revenue comes from.

In the demo you'll visually see how we use DataFast and the problem we're having, and how our platform solves it. Our specific use case is exactly influence marketing, that's why I feel like it belongs here and I am hoping it'll help you understand what works for your business as well, same as we did :-)

There's a free trial for you can check out the platform, it's fully agentic ready, connect the MCP and work with Claude Code or Codex or any AI or directly in through the platform, we're slowly adding more and more use cases to the website as well

Check out LnkFlow

If this interests you, we're launching on ProductHunt today, so feel free to check it out and maybe support :-)

Happy to answer any questions, cheers!

ExtraDock - The Mac Dock solution for multiple monitors

Hey everybody!

ExtraDock lets you create unlimited docks and place them anywhere you need them. macOS only gives you one dock, but for multiple monitors it is limiting.

ExtraDock is completely customizable. You can use it as a dock replacement by disabling the macOS dock, or as an addition to it. You can make Extra Docks looks however you like - colors, app icons, effects, you can even make items float on invisible background.

In the video:

You can see multiple docks, at the bottom-left an invisible dock (0% opacity) dock with a shelf widget as well as Folder Stack widgets.

The dock in the middle is a Space-aware dock (also fully invisible), it only shows active windows in the space you're on, and updates dynamically as you move between spaces or open/close apps.

The dock on the top simply shows effects, custom app icons and customize options.

The dock on the bottom-middle is not the actual dock, it's an ExtraDock running a live widget which makes it act like a dock, updates dynamically as you open and close apps.

Core Features:

- Widgets such as Live Dock to duplicate your macOS dock & Space-only dynamic dock to show only apps in the space you're currently on.

- Docks can be assigned to different monitors and automatically hide/show when those monitors are connected/disconnected. A simple button make the dock show on all displays.

- Completely customizable in both behavior (collapse, auto hide, hide on fullscreen) and visuals.

- Preview apps on hover.

- Drag & Drop files into folders or the Shelf Widget for easy organization.

- Folder Stacks to group folders under a single icon

ExtraDock is actively developed and improved. We are working closely with beta testers with different setups to ensure reliability

Pricing:

€9.99 - €99.99 depending on plan & amount of devices.

14 Days money-back guaranteed. If you're not 100% happy with it, you'll get all your money back.

Shiori - A bookmark manager that lives in your menu bar. Fully cloud synced across your devices, keyboard-driven, accessible on multiple platforms.

Hey everybody!

We recently released v1.0.0 of our bookmark manager called Shiori.

Shiori lives in your menu bar, fully keyboard driven, called with a hot key and saves URLs in seconds, keeping them fully accessible throughout your devices with cloud sync, a web dashboard and plans to reach more platforms such as mobile, browser extensions and more in the future.

The funny thing about Shiori is it was a feature request for our other app. After we created it as a widget (and went so much over board of the initial intention, oopsy daisy 😄), we decided to launch it as an app of it's own.

In the video you can see me launching URLs, and they are directed to the specific browser profile I routed them to (with tag-based routing), using Link Groups to open multiple URLs at once and navigating the UI

Core Features

- Bookmarks are fully synced between devices, one license covers unlimited devices.

- Tag-based browser routing - open tagged bookmarks on specific Google Chrome profiles (Beta is only for Google Chrome but will be extended to support more browsers).

- Link Groups - Launch a group of URLs at once, with a single click.

- Keyboard-driven access through the menu bar. Quick search bookmarks by URL, title, description or tag.

Comparison

Shiori was inspired by BarMarks which is a beautiful bookmark manager that I bought some time ago. When I received the feature request for a keyboard-driven bookmark widget, I immediately thought about BarMarks, I am not sure the app is still maintained as I stopped using it It is maintained. Other than that there are some absolute units of bookmark managers out there such as Raindrop (which is amazing, no introduction needed), the difference is the pricing model which brings me to...

Pricing

TL;DR: Shiori is a one-time payment, currently on launch price sale of €34.99, price will increase to €49.99 by mid June.

To be fully transparent - Shiori started as a monthly subscription app due to the fact it has a backend with cloud sync, a web UI and soon enough we'll add 2GB file storage, API access and more. All of that incur ongoing charges.

From a business perspective, running all that on a one-time payment model is pretty... stupid. However, subscriptions are painfully annoying, and we decided to take the risk and change it to lifetime.

All subscription users have been converted to lifetime (shout out to all beautiful 6 of you believers ❤️), and we plan to keep it that way.

I'll mention that MAYBE, in the future we'll add an optional plan with AI auto-tagging -- that's definitely not going to be a one-time payment 😅, and we'll probably include a BYOK option for users who prefer to use their own keys, and not pay a subscription.

EDIT: Thanks to u/A_Drop_of_Colour for confirming BarMarks is still actively maintained, and the dev is responsive!

Hey everybody!

Starting from the beginning, after macOS Tahoe broke menu bar managers, we decided to tackle the menu bar ourselves, but not in a traditional way. We took another approach from the rest, creating a fully customizable "replacement" of sort to the menu bar.

macOS Tahoe brought the ability to cmd + drag away apps from the menu bar. Very handy if you want to clean and then only add the apps you want there, on top of that, ExtraBar lets you customize the menu with 15 different actions including deep links, which opens up endless possibilities since a lot of apps support deep links.

In the video you can see me playing with different actions such as Open with App (Bloom), Raycast - which is literally built on top of deep links, as well as how I customized my CleanShot X menu with just what I need using Raycast Extensions.

Core Features:

- 5 Display Modes: Menu bar, Floating bar, Collapsed mode, Notch mode & Hide/Show launcher style

- Built with focus on Keyboard navigation, you can call ExtraBar with your keyboard and navigate the menus however you like with numbers or arrows.

- Fully customizable menu bar with 15 actions (Open with, Run Script, Run Shortcuts, Hide/Show, Deep links, Keyboard Shortcuts and more)

- Included bookmark manager (seen in video) with cloud sync between devices, web dashboard, soon to be fully cross platform, read more here

Comparison:

ExtraBar is different than apps like Bartender, Barbee or Ice as it's not about hiding and showing apps. Instead ExtraBar is about customization, and turning your menu bar into a "command center" that's personalized to you.

ExtraBar can be used without permissions, the only thing that requires Accessibility is if you want better keyboard navigation or to use the 'Keyboard Shortcuts' action.

Pricing:

- Lifetime (1 Device) - €19.99

- Lifetime (2 Device) - €34.99

- Lifetime (3 Device) - €49.99
