They de-flashbanged the Ice Wyvern?!

Hopped on for the first time in a while to play the Ice Deckathalon, and imagine my surprise when the enemy uses an Ice Wyvern, and my screen isn't filled with a blinding white. It's actually, like, a pleasant animation to look at? That's easy on the eyes? Out of the many questionable changes to the game lately, I'm glad to at least see one thing that is an objective improvement!

Apologies if this sort of post isn't welcome here, I just had to write about my feelings and didn't know where else I could put it.

Skyrim was the first AAA game (for the time) that I ever played, and between LE and SE, I racked up over 900 hours playing entirely vanilla, save for a font mod and the occasional ENB, neither of which disabled achievements. After getting all of those, I left the game for a little while, and came back to mod it. I've been modding for 8 years(!) and over 300 hours of in-game time alone. I've built, deleted and re-built countless modlists. The only time I've ever been satisfied with the game is forcing myself to play on a minimal setup, accepting the game's shortcomings and not forcing it to be anything different. But it's always so tantalising to try out the latest graphics mods, or install a ton of quests only to never play any of them. It never looks perfect. I'm never satisfied. And so, for probably around the 30th time now, there goes my modlist, straight into the recycle bin.

Mods promise so much, but it's for that reason that I haven't been able to enjoy Skyrim in over 8 years. If you've experienced something similar, or have any other thoughts, please feel free to comment.
