My PT is getting too pushy

I started going to the gym last Jan and nag-sign up ako for a personal trainer. By May, naka-more than 60 PT sessions na ata ako with the same coach, so if iisipin, I’ve already spent over approx 70k just the sessions alone.

Sa totoo lang, okay naman nung una. As a beginner, sobrang helpful niya. Tinuruan niya ako ng proper form, paano gamitin yung machines, at mas naging comfortable ako mag-gym kasi may kasama ako during workouts.

Pero habang tumatagal, napansin ko parang hindi na ganun ka-personalized yung coaching. Madalas hindi niya maalala kung ano yung last workout namin, hindi niya tina-track yung progress ko, and parang wala ring consistency sa progressive overload. Minsan feeling ko ang goal na lang is matapos yung 1-hour session.

I still lost around more or less 8 Kg, pero honestly I think malaking factor dun yung calorie deficit ko and walking 6–7 km almost every day. The gym definitely helped, pero I don’t think the PT was the biggest reason why I achieved my results.

Lately, naging busy ako sa work and sunod-sunod yung out-of-town and out-of-country trips ko, so hindi na ako nakakapag-book ng sessions. Sinabihan ko naman siya na I’ll message him once available na ulit ako.

Pero grabe yung kulit. Halos everyday may message asking kung kailan ako magwo-workout. Minsan may missed calls pa just to get a reply. Hindi naman emergency, so honestly it started making me feel uncomfortable.

May natitira pa akong sessions, pero parang nawawalan na ako ng gana gamitin kasi nai-stress na ako sa pagiging pushy niya. Tapos the last time we talked, instead of asking how I’ve been or what my goals are, ang sinabi agad niya is mag-avail na raw ako ng 50 sessions Lol, as if tinatae ko lang ang 50k+. 😄

Napaisip tuloy ako kung ganito ba talaga karamihan ng PTs dahil sa sales quota nila, or minalas lang talaga ako sa coach.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Normal lang ba ’to or valid naman na ma-off ako?
