Lennox Remote, Control Board or Bad Remote?

I’m about to go to a customers house. They're out there, and our dispatch fee ain’t cheap. Their Lennox (this is the problem here) remote isn’t controlling their indoor head. I haven’t seen this issue on any equipment yet. Have you guys had bad remotes or bad boards? Part if me wants to just order and mail them a new remote for $25.

Moving from one state with no licenses to a state that has them.

I'm coming up on 5 years as a technician and am looking to relocate to buy a house because the area I am currently in has an absurd housing market. A lot of what I'm seeing in Indeed and ZipRecruiter is a mention of a HVAC license. These weren't a thing in my state otherwise I would have loved to have got one. I need proof of 6000 hours, tracked to the hour, signed by another master or employer and some other qualifications. How needed are the licenses? If I move, am I starting as a maintenance tech again? Is there a way to prove my hours through my employment from other companies?

I’d rather be neighbors with a person that parks bad than a person who leaves notes under peoples wind shield wipers.

Watched a guy in a white Silverado pull into the spot next to an SUV close to the line. He reversed in and ended up parking along the same line. There was actually about five feet of space behind him where he could have pulled back more into the spot. Cars were having to go around the front of his pickup because it was sticking out that far.

He went into the store, got his lunch from the deli, came back out, took a picture of the SUV, and left this nice note under the wiper.
