Just to clarify, I wouldn't be talking about a particular party or association.

I believe we all have noticed a surge of political posts on this sub. Such posts were not common before. A few things I've noticed regarding them:

- they boomed suddenly in the past 2-3 days only. There were political posts before, but not to this extent.

- they all aren't productive at all. They just post a reel, or another post, or some rando saying something controversial. They haven't been promoting discussion, just hate.

Now, coincidentally

- Raghav Chadda had a meeting with some controversial influencers a couple of days ago, specifically regarding punjab and influence on it (I would've refrained from taking any names, but this is an objective event that happened). This suggests other parties might've had such meetings too.

- Punjab state elections happened to be quite close.

Based on all this, I assume that the influx of these posts, posts that do not promote discussion but just hate, are posts influenced by these parties (and I talk about all parties, I see posts in favour of, and against all parties on the sub).

I believe these posts are not helpful for this sub. As much as I hate that mf, a picture of Modi in a meme (I swear if any fucker called me a Modibhakt), or a twitter screenshot of some Kejriwal statement don't promote discussion, just hate. These posts aren't healthy.

Also, I saw a lot of users just abusing each other in comments when they disagree. Usually in those cases, I notice clear instigators, whom I believe to be of this same category (maybe of an organisation rather than a party), who try to deflect arguments by abusing people's religions, culture, etc. I suggest you all to just ignore them, as all they look for is a reaction, whether it's a gaali or a pappi. You'll just be worsening your own mood, and they get their designated 1-2 rs for instigating you. Just report them.

Now, my suggestion to the mods. How about curbing these low effort political posts? I'm not suggesting a complete ban on anything political, since GenZ also talks about it, but checking for these low effort posts that don't promote discussion and only hate, and banning them in particular.

I usually don't surf on insta, but this random day, two days ago, I just happened to seek new experiences. And fate surely had plans to fulfill my demand.

Innocently I was scrolling through reels, when I reached one about a particular lock picking one. It was about a tool that could apparently pick locks. I wouldn't have stressed on it and would've scrolled away, but I noticed this small bubble near the bottom of my screen. It was the pfp of a friend of mine. I thought, "Cool, this guy must've interacted with this reel too." What I discovered has changed me as a person.

I opened the comments. On the very top was his, as it would've been since he was in my followers list. Unfortunately for him, this innocent quirk of instagram sealed his fate.

His comment was, "Can this open my ass??"

Instantly my hand moved toward the screenshot button. Within 10 seconds that screenshot was all over our gc. I commented below his comment "digital footprints my friend", and in an instant that comment disappeared. He tried to cover his tracks, but he happened to be a step too late.

This opened my eyes about how scary instagram is. I can say whatever unhinged shit on reddit, but I have to be navigating around the close friends list throughout instagram for a basic story. I have to check the stuff I like, or it becomes an instant win button if I ever argue with my friends.

I urge you all to tread carefully through these scary places.

I decided to try apple music on my android phone. It's great and all, but for some fucking reason I can't control it with gemini assistant. I can't just go "hey google, play Rukh by Navaan Sandhu" even after setting up apple music as the default music service.

And you wanna know the best part?? Google assistant can do it. I can just switch my assistant from Gemini to google assistant, and it works perfectly. BUT FOR SOME FUCKING REASON, GEMINI APP WON'T WORK IF I SET GOOGLE ASSISTANT AS MY ASSISTANT!!!!!!!
