What actually makes people back a Kickstarter project?
We are currently running a Kickstarter for RoveSpier, and one thing I’m struggling to understand is what makes someone go from simply seeing a campaign to actually becoming a backer.
There are plenty of ways to get views and clicks, but getting someone to trust a new project enough to support it seems like a completely different challenge.
For those who have backed or launched Kickstarter campaigns:
What convinced you to back a project?
Was it the product itself, the creator, the video, the rewards, social proof, the story behind the project, or something else?
I’d really like to learn from people who have actually been on either side of a Kickstarter campaign.
Have you ever paid for Kickstarter promotion and received nothing in return?
Hello, I am tired of paying people to promote my Kickstarter project and all I get is a few views or nothing at all. We don't have endless money for marketing. People promise they can get us backers, but then they deliver nothing.
Have you ever paid someone to promote your Kickstarter project and got nothing in return?
What worked for you, and how did you find someone you could actually trust?
