I used Lovable, Gemini, Vercel and Supabase to build AIThesaurus.io

It started out slow but is gaining traction through pSEO and indexing of over a million pages related to synonyms and rhymes.

What I learned is that traffic doesn't mean revenue...

The sign-up rate is abysmal but I'm optimistic I can monetize it and make it popular through contextual ads and link trades.

The target is the slow moving legacy giants like thesaurus.com and merriam-webster which get 20 to 30 million visitors monthly.

I wonder if casual users will go for the new AI-Savvy solution or if through sheer force of habit will stick with the older thesauri.

I'm now getting lots of traffic from around the world - Something like 30,000 to 50,000 hits per day.

But I'm not getting signups or feedback.

The next step is to get lots of backlinks and beat Thesaurus.com & Merriam-Webster.com for monthly English synonym and rhyme traffic.

I haven't monetized the site yet or put outbound links up.
