I was just thinking about the Artemis 2 mission, and I remember the heat shield was being talked about a lot, because it didn’t work as planned on Artemis 1. I googled why they needed a heat shield, and it sounds like it is because the air was being compressed so hard, it created heat. I don’t understand how that works, so I would love to know. I have recently been practicing single engine failures in the A320, and I can stabilize the aircraft, but once it comes to landing, I am not having stable approaches and at the very last moment, the plane banks sharply to whatever side my failed engine is due to asymmetrical thrust. I am just wondering if anybody has any tips for me. Thanks in advance!
