PJs on Sydney to Bali flight

Flew from Sydney to Denpasar the other day on QF43 in business. First time they didn’t offer PJs through the cabin. Has policy changed in any way in the last 12 months? Six hour flight no longer eligible or has it become “you have to request them”?

Child seating question

My wife and I and two children (6 and 4) are travelling on an international Qantas flight back to Sydney next month on a flight that has business class in a 1-2-1 configuration.

When we booked we reserved the two middle seats in the back rows, which is generally the configuration that minimises disruption to passengers and crew, allowing us to centrally manage looking after the kids.

I just checked the app today and two of our seats have been moved so we are now in the two window seats of one row (new seats) and the two middle seats of the row before.

Any way we sit, at least one child now is away from a parent.

I phoned Qantas today and they told me there was nothing they could do until we check in at the overseas airport, but then we will definitely have every child next to an adult.

It feels a bit incomprehensible that they can’t correct what is obviously an invalid seating plan now, particularly given it involves a child not seated with parents. While they have given the assurance that the situation will be fixed at check-in, I would rather have the peace of mind that it is fixed now.

Anyone have any experience with similar situations or knowledge of relevant rules or processes?

I’m Platinum, if that matters.
