spicy book rec dilemma

i’m establishing a more consistent reading routine to help prepare for grad school, and also, it’s a nice break from the screens and a good habit i’m building. i’ve read most of my library at home and still have some books i need to get through. but i would like some spicier book recommendations.

thing is… i dislike majority of the spicier/romance books out there. it’s usually the plot and overall concept that’s the turn-off for me.

i grew up reading lemon fanfics on wattpad then shifted to AO3 when older, so i’ve READ smut. additionally, the style of books i like aren’t that mainstream (i guess). some of my favorite fiction books are bunny, the secret history, play it as it lays, twilight series, and anything by brett easton ellis. i read a lot more non-fiction and memoirs, too.

i am asking for any spicy recommendations (mlm, wlw, mlw) that are in that style of writing or aren’t the booktok slop that’s being popularized, like heated rivalry, icebreaker, or colleen hoover’s work.

pgh gg show

last night was great! it looked like a bigger crowd than september’s pgh show (probably because he chose a better venue than the thunderbird) and was a lot more engaging.

but im not gonna lie, this might be me, it was miserable at times. i love greep’s jams, but i think last night was way too far out. mainly for bongo season. i think everything else was really tasteful and made sense for the song or the transitions, but bongo season was way too much. and the crowd really reflected that.

and greep was a lot more engaging with the crowd this time, too! in september, the only time he really spoke was to tell the mosh to get it together when they were moshing into the person in the wheelchair. but last night, he was really being himself and it was so fun to see that.

let me know your thoughts!
